here are thousands of helpful and entertaining resources available online and on television. So many that it would be impossible for our editors to discover them all on their own. Thats why delight! magazine is built with the help of its readers. The delight! reader community continually shares their favorite websites and TV shows, plus tips and opinions from their own experiences. Here are some favorites we encourage you to check out this month:

ones is the best show on TV. I like Dr. Brennan and Angela because they are pretty and very smart. Each week Dr. Brennan works with Seeley Booth to catch murderers. They read clues to find out how people died. Go to the site Fox.com/bones to watch old episodes, see a schedule, or meet the actors. You will love it as much as I do.

Alyshia, Kimberly, WI
ur familys favorite website is Poptropica.com. Its a great kids game site where they get to customize their own character, solve puzzles and beat up bad guys. Poptropica.com combines fun with history lessons and problem-solving skills. I enjoy knowing my kids are building hand-eye coordination and using their brains while playing a game they truly enjoy!

Susan Larsen, Staten Island, NY

y favorite show is Jersey Shore [on MTV] because it reminds me of when I was a teenager and I also am from the area so I see clubs I used to dance in and restaurants I used to eat at. Also, what I enjoy about the show is all the drama between them and the romance between two of the characters (Ronnie and Sammi). The things that come out of The Situations mouth are great! Excellent show, and we talk about it Friday mornings at work, so thats fun too.

ottenTomatoes.com is the definitive movie website. This wasnt a new find to me but it may be to a lot of people. I find that most of America determines what films to see based off of TV commercials and trailers where people get paid the big bucks to make even the worst movies look like Citizen Kane. RottenTomatoes.com compiles all of the online professional and casual reviews into a percentage so you can truly read into if a movie is worth your time and ten dollars.

s of right now Glee [on Fox] is my favorite TV show. Its something I can watch with the whole family. The story lines are deep and the characters are so likable. The songs that they choose are perfect because they are songs I listen to, but also are songs my mom used to listen to. Glee goes where no show has really gone before. Many have attempted to bring music into movies and TV programs and have failed. Glee did it right. Im a Gleek!

Sharing Has Its Rewards!

Marie, Flushing, NY
website that I like and use the most would be Stardoll.com. Stardoll.com is a website for boys and girls to create themselves online and around the world. There they can own a house and design their own clothes. Its really fun and creative. On this I can chat with my friends in my suite and dress up my own doll. You can also earn money and go to the mall and buy clothes and other cool things. Its also free to create an account on Stardoll.com.

Devya, Astoria, NY
he Good Wife [on CBS] has become a favorite this season. I first tuned in because I really like Julianna Margulies, but I think the rest of the cast is top notch, too. Archie Panjabis character is very interesting and she is wonderful. The twists and turns within the initial ongoing story of deception and repentance make each episode worth watching. I also enjoy the unexpected cameos by a variety of people.

ve recently been receiving the Funny or Die [FunnyOrDie.com] e-newsletters, which have the best clips of the week and now, a run-down of what happened on their new show on HBO. Although I rarely catch the HBO version, Im always clicking through to the website to watch episodes of The Ed Hardy Boyz, any and all Will Ferrell insanity, and whatever latest video-skit that over-achieving actor, Columbia student, and comedian, James Franco is up to.

Ponder dana delany for a moment and you will realize theres something undeniably unique about her

By GREG ARCHER

For starters, the award-winning actress boasts a lovely grace and depth,
and her likeability factor continues to soar even after 25 years in the business. But in talking to Delany, the secret to her inimitable charm becomes quite clear, and it has everything to do with one thing: this woman is grounded. How in the world does she stay that way? I have a feeling its because of my family background, Delany reflects. I come from Connecticut, where you are really not allowed to take yourself very seriously. I mean, just that whole New England sensibility, which is similar to an England sensibility, I think, where people say to you, Dont get a swelled head. I was really raised with that, so I cant even imagine thinking too highly of myself. Well, it has certainly worked in Delanys favor because shes now considered to be one of the most prominent television actresses of her generation. And looking back, its fun to chronicle just how well shes been able to weather the often-fickle world of showbiz. >>>

down with delany:

d!: Best thing on your iPod right now? DD: I was guest DJ on Siriusly Sinatra, one of my favorite stations, so I have a huge amount of Sinatra and American Standards. d!: Favorite TV show? DD: Nurse Jackie. The writing is great. d!: Favorite food? DD: Fava beans. d!: Three things you never leave home without: DD: Blackberry, keys and wallet. d!: Favorite book at the moment? DD: A Visit From the Goon Squad. d!: Favorite travel spots? DD: Hard to pickSouth America and definitely Asia. But Ive been talking forever about going to India. d!: Guilty pleasure? DD: Tweeting. I call it Procrasti-Tweeting.
mobile

One of three children, Delany was born in New York City in the late-50s and raised in Stamford, Connecticut. She says she knew at a young age that she wanted to be an actress and after graduating Wesleyan University, immediately began orbiting the acting world. She landed on Broadway, then daytime TV. But primetime beckoned. So did a tsunami of success that awaited her in China Beach, the soulful Vietnam-era series from the late 80s. Delanyis this woman the best crier on television, or what?nabbed two Emmys for her portrayal of army nurse Colleen McMurphy in the show, now considered a classic. I got really spoiled by China Beach, because that was a complex character, Delany admits. I naively thought, Oh, its always going to be like this. But it wasnt. A lot of times, I turned things down because I felt the roles just didnt have the depth that Colleen had. I missed out on a lot of stuff because I was being so careful. Some post-Beach ventures almost took numerous guest roles aside, Presidio Med and Kidnapped showed promise (and who could forget her wild turn in the film Exit to Eden)but when she landed in Marc Cherrys world of Wisteria Lane as secret-toting Katherine Mayfair on Desperate Housewives in 2007, Delany discovered something brand newabout acting, about herself.

If Delany had help cultivating her unique open-mindedness if not her ability to be present, it may have been handed down from her late-grandfather. (Actually, the man invented the Delany valve, a flushing device used in many toilets todayits a factoid that the actress jokes about, but kidding aside, the guy really left an indelible impression on her.)

Delany heads up the cast of ABCs Body of Proof. One of the things I love about getting older is that you start to get perspective on things and you begin to see patterns in your life, she shares. I didnt realize how much of an influence my grandfather had on me until years later. He was a man with many interestsa medical doctor but he also ran the family business. And he was a bit of a loner, which I am, and yet not lonely, she adds with a hint of vulnerable elegance. He used to say, theres just not enough hours in the day. And I feel that way, too. He was so present and so capable of living by himselfand being happythat I realized, Oh my God, Ive become my grandfather! Delany laughs it off, but you cant help appreciate her willingness to share the lessons shes been learning. Right now, in my life, Im trying really hard not to be in a routine, because I think routine is death, she says. So Im watching whatever I might do automatically and to just be very conscious of it. Like, I was having the carpet replaced in my house so I was staying at a hotel. Normally, I would have driven home to check on things, and then I thought, What if you walked? You can walk; see things you dont normally see. Those little shifts, one suspects, contribute greatly to an always-evolving Dana Delany. Im learning that I need very little, she goes on. I think the process of growing older is about stripping things away. And I am really realizing that I dont need a lot to make me happy. Its really an interesting process. Delany pauses before playfully adding, Although, I have to admit I still like to travel First Class. So, once I can give that up, I can be a better person.

TUNE IN: Body of Proof Premieres Sept. 20 10/9 pm C, ABC FOLLOW: Twitter.com/DanaDelany

I learned that you can have comedy and drama in the same show and you can be ridiculous and serious within the same scene, she says, noting that shes infused those elements into Body of Proof, the surprise ABC hit whose second season premieres this month. Taking on the role of Dr. Megan Hunt was a no-brainer, actually. She says she couldnt pass it up and its easy to see why. A medical examiner that has had to rebuild her career and her tarnished relationship with her young daughter? Pleasecharacterwise, this is Delanys raison dtre. I like to bring a little more pain to the roles, she admits. Because I think being a human being is not always easy. And I love finding the truth [when acting]. It doesnt happen all of the time, but once in a while, you get those moments when you are totally present and you know you are speaking the truth and I found those moments are magic. And you never know when they are going to happen.

think the process of growing older is about stripping things away. And I am really realizing that I dont need a lot to make me happy.

Everything Must Go After losing his job of 16 years, Nick Halsey returns home to find the locks changed, his bank accounts frozen, and his possessions strewn on the front lawn. What is a man to do but settle into his easy chair, pound back some Pabst, and have a massive yard sale? Its a dramatic change of pace for Will Ferrell, whom critics only take seriously when he plays it straight. A revelation, one critic said of his performance. Completely unexpected, praised another. This just shows how little respect comedy gets. From his definitive George Bush to his iconic Ron Burgundy, it should be no surprise how good Ferrell is. In Everything Must Go, he exhibits total commitment to character in this expansion of Raymond Carvers short story, Why Dont You Dance. Having hit rock bottom, Nick makes some perhaps life-saving connections with a young boy who helps with the yard sale (Christopher Jordan Wallace), a lonely, pregnant new neighbor (Rebecca Hall), and a former high school classmate (Laura Dern). This may be a hard sell for those who prefer a more Old School Will Ferrell, but Everything Must Go affords him the opportunity to stay classy. Rated R. Bridesmaids Kristen Wiig (SNL) co-wrote and stars as Annie, whose life has taken a tailspin. Her bakery flops, she lives with two horrible roommates, and she is a callously-treated hook-up buddy to an absolute cad (Jon Hamm). She is further undone when her best friend Lillian (Maya Rudolph) announces that she is engaged and asks Annie to be her maid of honor. Enter the bridesmaids, a dream-team of comic actors including Melissa McCarthy (Mike & Molly), Wendi McLendonCovey (Reno 911), Ellie Kemper (The Office), and Rose Byrne (Damages) as Helen the wealthy sophisticate whom Annie sees as a rival for Lillians friendship. Director Paul Feig (Freaks & Geeks, The Office) is a master at discomfort comedy and Bridesmaids is something of a game-changer (it surpassed Knocked Up to become Judd Apatows biggest box office hit). It has all the touchstones of a raunchy bro-mance comedy: profane language, lewd and drunken behavior, and a gross-out scene that makes the infamous campfire scene in Blazing Saddles look like something out of Jane Austen. But its stars are primarily women. And why not? Like the country song says, Guys do it all the time. Rated R. Thor Director Kenneth Branagh does one of Marvels most enduring characters justice thanks to a distinguished cast (with two Oscar-winners, Anthony Hopkins and Natalie Portman), a clever and funny script, and the requisite action scenes. Chris Hemsworth stars as Thor, a god banished from the kingdom of Asgard by his father Odin (Hopkins). He is dispatched to Earth as a mere mortal, where he is found by Jane Foster (Portman), an astrophysicist. Job one for Thor is to retrieve his hammer, the source of his power which he must prove himself worthy to wield. The sword is now in the hands of elite government agent Coulson (Clark Gregg). Meanwhile, back on Asgard, more family drama is unfolding. Much of the films welcome comic moments come from Thor adapting to life on Earth. This drink, I like it, he proclaims upon tasting coffee for the first time and smashing his cup with a flourish. Another. And yes, there will be another. A sequel is planned for 2013, to be preceded next year by the hotly anticipated The Avengers, the ultimate Marvel superhero crossover film. Rated PG-13. POM Wonderful Presents: The Greatest Movie Ever Sold What is product placement in a movie? And how does it work? In this documentary, Morgan Spurlock (Super Size Me) pulls back the curtain on this billion-dollar practice. The ingenious setup: he will finance this entire film with product placement. He takes us inside the boardrooms to see him pitch his idea to some understandably skeptical corporate marketing executives. He also visits with other filmmakers about their experiences with product placement (Brett Ratner is cool with it, Quentin Tarantino reveals that Dennys wanted no part of being a setting in Pulp Fiction). He also visits a company that analyzes audience brainwaves to get their emotional responses to movie previews, and a school that sells advertising space in their buses to fill budget shortfalls. Like Super Size Me, Sold is more of a stunt-umentary. Spurlock has a defter, more disarming touch than Michael Moore, but the stakes here are not as high as they were in Moores Fahrenheit 9/11 or Bowling for Columbine. But while you may be hip to product placement, this entertaining and hilarious film is an eye-opener at how insidious this embedded advertising is. Rated PG-13.

The Mad, Mad Era of Mad Men

Its highballs and high times on Madison Avenue for AMCs Mad Men, the 60s-era drama that exposes the ego-driven world of advertising and the men who rule it at the hotbed agency Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce. The back-to-back Emmy-winning series revolves around the conflicted world of Don Draper (portrayed by Jon Hamm), the biggest ad manand ladies manin the business, set in the authentic, gender-defined culture and traditional family values of the day. Valuesspecifically the differing values of show creator Matthew Weiner and the networkare at the heart of the unfortunate and prolonged production delays of Mad Mens fifth season. Disputes about the shows format, cast budgets and increased product placement offers are cited to be key in keeping the show off the small screen, reportedly until sometime in 2012.

What misanthropic chief diagnostician greg house lacks in bedside manner he makes up for with unconventional brilliance in sleuthing medical mysteries.

a jealous and distraught house drives his car through cuddys living room while she hosts a dinner party with a possible new love interest. in turn, his former flame clearly becomes his former boss when she tells police, if greg house steps foot in my hospital again, comes anywhere near me, i want him thrown in jail.

the scene-fleeing house (last shown strolling a beach probably outside the u.s.) will likely seethe behind bars at least for a bit. cuddys portrayer, lisa edelstein, is heading to The Good Wife, so anticipate house returning to spar with a new boss.

Oh, we balked when NBC butchered the Bionic Woman reboot and with plans for another Wonder Woman now scrapped, we can only hope that breathing new life into one of TVs most coveted franchises doesnt prove to be criminal. Hope lingers behind the scenesDrew Barrymores Flower Films delivers a creative boost on the production end and original Angels exec Leonard Goldberg is back. As for the premise forget L.A. The show is set in sexy Miami. And forget the innocence Kate Jackson, Farrah Fawcett and Jaclyn Smith brought to the original roles in the 70s. Making up the new troika are Annie Ilonzeh (playing a beleaguered cop), Rachael Taylor (a world-class thief) and Minka Kelly (a street racer with a curious past). Watch out for Kelly because her character is one of the reasons this trio is brought together. Watch: Premieres Thursday, September 22, 8/7 pm C, ABC

2 Broke Girls

Bad economy? Fear not. CBS isnt. The Tiffany net is using strained economic times as a perfect plot device. Kat Dennings (Thor) and Beth Behrs (American Pie) morph into a quasi modern-day Laverne & Shirley here, where the big dreams revolve around launching a trendy cupcake business. In the meantime this diverse duo Dennings plays a lower middleclass struggling waitress; Behrs a down-on-her-luck uptown sophisticatejoin forces to change their fates. Good news: Beyond the good buzz its already generated, TV titan James Burrows directed the pilot and Michael Patrick King (Sex and the City) teams with Whitney Cummings (Whitney) to executive produce. Watch: Premieres Monday, September 19, 9:30/8:30 pm C, CBS

Buffys Sarah Michelle Gellar returns to primetime in what could become the seasons guiltiest pleasure. This time shes slaying emotional issues in a pilot that definitely had us craving more. (A nice sign.) Follow along: Gellar morphs into a woman on the run after having witnessed a murder. She cant escape death for long because upon seeking refuge at her twin sisters posh New York lairyes, we get two Gellars herethe sis disappears in what appears to be a suicide. Whats a troubled gal to do? Assume the sisters identity, of course. Naturally, that proves to be just as complicated and dangerous. (Oh, the secrets!) There are promising twist and turns in Ringer and, unlike many new series previewed, it appears that the writers have a solid if not clever plan for the shows evolution. Beyond that, Gellar is fetching and in top form. Watch: Premieres Tuesday, September 13, 9/8 pm C, CW

American Idol godfather Simon Cowell finally launches the U.S. version of the British hit. Its amped-up Idol for sure, with more performersin addition to solo artists, watch for breakout musical groups hoping to win over audiences. But, what everyone really wants to see? Whether that winning chemistry between Cowell and former Idol comrade Paula Abdul is still intact. Abduls presence here is anticipated to send ratings north. Nicole Scherzinger (The Pussycat Dolls) and recording exec Antonio L.A. Reid share judging duties as well. Watch out for Reid. Word is he can be much harsher than Cowell. As for the grand prize, winning Americas heart is enough, sure, but with a $5 million recording contract tossed into the mix, the stakes are definitely higher. And so are our expectations. The stars are definitely shining down on Whitney Cummings. After making a dent on the Comedy Central roasts and winning over viewers as a recurring panelist on Chelsea Latelynot to mention spearheading successful comedy toursshe shot to new heights over the past year by landing a killer producer deal (CBSs 2 Broke Girls) and her own series to boot. (Which she also penned.) In Whitney, the popular stand-up comic plays one half of a happily unmarried couple (opposite Glory Dazes Chris DElia). But have Whitney and her beau reached a five-year itch? Is relationship boredom right around the corner? Thats what she thinks. Hilarity ensues as Whitneys insecurities run amok. Zoe Lister-Jones (The Other Guys) and Rhea Seehorn (The Starter Wife) costar. Infused within all of this, however, is Cummings distinctly original comedic flavor bold, honest and, best of all, funny. Born in D.C. and schooled at University of Pennsylvania, Cummings seemed to rise up the comedy ranks rather

quickly. Her gigs captured enough network interest to land her memorable stints on late-night TV chat fests. Then, back in 2007, Variety named her one of 10 Comics To Watch. When asked about the inner workings of her comedy, Cummings recently confessed: I had this massage therapist that always said, The universe is working for you. And its true. I have this combative streaka lot of comics have it. You get on stage and for the first four years, youre fighting for people to like you. Youre assuming people want to hurt youI tend to shadowbox through life with people who are fighting me back. But, she adds, [that statement] transformed the way I think to stop being at war with these invisible images. Watch: Premieres Thursday, September 22, 9:30/8:30 pm C, NBC
