3 . Introduction:This document is a Test Plan for the Attendance recording application through biometric finger print, produced by Quality Assurance. It describes the testing strategy and approach to testing QA will use to validate the quality of this product prior to release. It also contains various resources required for the successful completion of this project List of the features: Security with advanced fingerprint minutiae matching . Eliminates proxy punching. TCP/IP Ethernet networking

4. Objective of test plan:1. 2. 3.

Determine wheather the RFI is working with 125 kHz Frequency. Determine wheather the system is Egronomical or not. Define the schedule for project.

5. Test Item:1. 2. 3. 4.

Localization testing. Time Scanner testing. Finger print scanner testing RFI testing.

6. Software Risk Issues:- CRO and winrunner. - Finger print scanner Inherent software risks: - Safety. - Interoperability

7. What features to be tested:-

RFI card - Security with advanced fingerprint minutiae matching - Supports greasy, oily, wet, smeared and even stained fingers. - Fast and Perfect Identification through excellent Algorithm. - Eliminates proxy punching. - TCP/IP Ethernet networking

8. What features not to be tested:- Time scanner - Finger print scanner

9. Overall Test Strategy:- CRO and Winrunner tools are used for RFI testing and User Interface testing. - Training for CRO and Win runner will be provided by HP. - Finger print recognition algorithm will be used. - Localization testing and Space testing - Security testing. - MTBF, Mean Time Between Failures - if this is a valid measurement for the test involved and if the data is available.

10. Item Pass/Fail Criteria:

11. Entry & Exit Criteria:Entry-> 1) All personnel involved in the system test effort must be trained in tools to be used during testing process. 2) A separate QA environment must be available. 3) All test hardware platforms & software must have been successfully installed configured and functioning properly. 4) All documentation and design of the architecture must be made available. Exit-> 1) Ensure all application documentation has been completed and is up to date. 2) Planned deliverables are ready. 3) High severity defects are fixed.

12.Suspension/Resumption Criteria:Criteria that will justify test suspension are: Hardware/Software is not available at the time indicated in the project schedule. Source code contains one or more critical defects, which seriously prevents or limits testing progress. Assigned test resources are not available when needed by the test teams.

13 .Test Deliverables
1) All the test cases. 2) Inspection reports. 3) Defect log & risks encountered and solution provided. 4) Different testing related reports.
