Paid app downloads decreased by 4% on Android and increased by 1% iOS. On Android,this decrease broke a string of three consecutive increases. The decrease was seenacross lower and premium price points. On iOS, the $.99 price point saw a small drop inshare, which was redistributed to higher price points.

On Android games increased from 21.7% to 25.7%, and utilities increased from 11.5% to15.8%. Several of the smaller categories, news, business, ﬁnance, sports, and education,have decreased their shares by more than 1%. Games dropped slightly from 31.1% to27.7%. Its share was distributed to several smaller categories.
Little churn was seen in top queries relative to July. Only two of the top 25 queries are newthis month on Android, while three of the top 25 are new on iOS.
