We meet outside the main entrance of the Maudsley Hospital, Denmark Hill, SE5 8AZ at 11:30 a.m. onSaturday, 15 October 2011,
and we will take you on the ‘Largactyl Shuffle Trail’ from Camberwell to the River.

CoolTan Arts Largactyl Shuffle Group invites you to participate in our BlackHistory Walk. Join this exciting walk and explore stories and figures relating toBlack History and BME communities in Southwark, arts and mental health....Do you have a story to tell that is related to Black History, arts and mental healthin Southwark? Maybe you have a letter, a newspaper article, a photo, clothing,etc. relating to Black History and want to share it? Then let us know, bring it with you and come along. Anycontributions are welcome. The walk is accessible to wheelchair users and people with disabilities. Farewell to Kathrin
Kathrin is leaving CoolTan Arts and moving on to a new job. Her last day is 21
st
September. Pop in for a chatbefore she leaves. We wish her all the best and hope to see her again at a walk or exhibition.Kathrin says she is sad to be leaving.
I had a great time here and met wonderful people. I wish everyone at CoolTan all the best for the future.
 
Filmmaking/Podcasting project about Personalisation

Over the next few months CoolTan participants will be producing both film and audio podcasts related topersonalisation, exploring the process any individual will need to go through to access a personal budget. New workshop places
Even with the cuts CoolTan Arts has successfully secured some funding for women only workshops in poetryand IT from Awards for All, we are also offering places on self-advocacy, film making / podcasting focussing onpersonalisation.Please contact Clara on 020 77012696 or email clara@cooltanarts.org.uk for more details.
Self-Advocacy Skills Training
Whilst we await the decision from Comic Relief later this autumn for further funding support from them, lookout for news of additional workshops where and when possible before the first full new programme begins nextyear. We are open for enquiries and registration for the course - please do get in touch.Last month we were able to employ a short-term cons
ultant to ‘package’ the workshop topic course materials,
lesson plans and development toward an eventual aim of applying for external accreditation. This work will betaken forward over the coming months - thanks to everyone who has been involved in the development andparticipated in the programmes so far -
