The ability to engineer reliable,high-capacity direct interfaces to thebrain and then integrate these into ahost of new technologies will causethe world of tomorrow to be muchdifferent than that of today.
There are some serious scientific barriers betweenwhere we stand today and where we can stand inthe future.
How do we establish permanent and reliable interfaces toselected areas of the central nervous system?
How do we use these interfaces to directly and reliablycommunicate at high rates with the brain?
