In addition the candidates must have at least six (6) publications in refereed journals since his/her last appointment as Associate Professor or three (3) University level books in the

applicant’s

area of specializationThe applicant must have supervised postgraduate students at both MSc. and PhD level. He/she mustdemonstrated good leadership ability and proven ability to attract research funding. In addition, he/she

must be actively affiliated to an appropriate professional body. Applicants will be subjected to academicpeer review.Those in the field of engineering must be registered or registrable with the Kenya Engineers RegistrationBoard or similar recognized national registration bodies for foreign applicants.ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR GRADE 14 KUCT/ACA/68/8/11An applicant must have a PhD plus at least three (3) years teaching at the University as Senior Lectureror Senior Research Fellow. In addition, the candidate must have published a minimum of five (5)publications in peer refereed journals since the last appointment as Senior Lecturer or two (2) Universitylevel boo

In addition, the applicant must have published at least three(3) papers in peer refereed journals since last appointment as a lecturer or research fellow or one (1)

University level book in applicant’s areas of specialization

The applicant must also demonstrate ability to supervise postgraduate students. A successful candidatewill be expected to teach undergraduate and postgraduate students, to initiate and implement researchand extension projects.Those in the field of engineering must be registered or registrable with the Kenya Engineers RegistrationBoard or similar recognized national registration bodies for foreign applicants.LECTURER GRADE 12 KUCT/ACA/70/8/11Applicants must have either PhD in relevant field or Masters Degree, in addition to Bachelor degree plustwo (2) years experience of University teaching or research experience and at least three (3) papers inrefereed journals. Those pursuing PhD studies will also be considered.Successful candidates will be expected to teach, conduct research and supervise undergraduatestudents.Those in the field of engineering must be registered or registrable with the Kenya Engineers RegistrationBoard or similar recognized national registration bodies for foreign applicants.ASSISTANT LECTURER GRADE 11 KUCT/ACA/71/8/11Applicants must have a Masters degree in related area of study in addition to a Bachelor degree. Inaddition, applicants must have published at least one (1) publication in peer refereed journals. Theyshould also have made considerable progress in pursuit of a relevant PhD programme.

He /she must have at least two (2) yearsrelevant working experience in a busy research institution or an institution of higher learning. They mustbe registered with Kenya Medical Laboratory Board.TECHNOLOGIST

GRADE 6 KUCT/NAC/73/8/11Applicants must possess Diploma in Medical Laboratory from a recognized institution. He /she musthave at least four (4) years relevant working experience in a busy research institution or an institution of higher learning. They must be registered with Kenya Medical Laboratory Board.C. ADMINISTRATION AND FINANCE DIVISIONASSISTANT REGISTRAR -GRADE 12 KUCT/NAC/74/8/11Applicants must possess a Masters Degree in management, planning, human resource management,Economics, public administration or other relevant field in addition to Bachelors degree.
