Who we are
CAMP Alatoo is a non-prot and non-governmental organizationfounded in 2005 promoting sustainable development in the mountainregions of Kyrgyzstan. CAMP Alatoo is a successor organization of theCentral Asian Mountain Partnership (CAMP), a program nancedby the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation. Jointly withits partner organizations in Kazakhstan and Tajikistan, CAMP Alatooforms part of the CAMP Network which employs about 25 people.
What we want
The overall goal is to contribute to the improvement of people’s livelihoodsin the mountain villages of Kyrgyzstan by encouraging a moresustainable use of natural resources.
How we work 
CAMP Alatoo pursues a trans-disciplinary and multi-stakeholderapproach based on local, regional and international partnershipsand experiences. CAMP Alatoo develops, adapts and implementsinnovative, simple and effective technologies with an emphasis onawareness raising and involvement by villagers, local institutions,partner organizations and experts.

CAMP Alatoo supports the development of mountain villages by promotingthe sustainable use of natural resources through:theoretical a • nd practical trainings• institutional development of NGOs• soil and water conservation technologies• energy saving technologies• participatory pasture management• integrated local risk management• small grants
