I suppose one of the most relentless enenies of morning prayer- time is - LATE NIGHTS! "Zarly to beds early to rise" - here lies the initial victory! Sleepiness can dull one's "prayer-power". Be wide- awake before starting! Complete your ablutions first. It might help to dress completely. On waking, let your first thought be of Jeaus! Lift your heart to Hin in a noraing greeting! Remember, He has been waiting and praying for you all night (Ps 121.3; Hed 7.25). Pause to think - you are about to Reet the Living Goa! (James 4.8). You are about to enter the Throne Room!(Heb 10,19-22). Get settled in your prayer-position and spend a fow minutes realising that He is with you in that very roon! Right there beside you!
