Introduction

In this day and age Muslims are fully inundated upon
the biographies of celebrities, sports st ars and actors
yet do t hey have the same amount of informat ion
about t he members of the Prophet s family,
companions and other import ant Islamic
personalit ies? The sad fact is that Muslims,
particularly in t he West, are unfamiliar with even the
names of such great people let alone have a det ailed
account of t heir lives which t hey can use as guides on
how to perfect their own life styles.

To p ut an end to t his alienation of import ant
personalit ies of Islam, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr.
Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has compiled a series of
hadith books on t hem. This book is one of t hose
collections of t radit ions.

The stat us of Sayyedah Fat imah ( ), the
blessed daught er of the Prophet Muhammad , is
so great t hat those who are oblivious to it are not only
doing injust ice to themselves by depriving themselves
from her t eachings but are also unknowingly showing
disregard to t he Prophet .

At a time when Muslim women are flooded with so-
called female role models, who rather t han
2
encouraging a modest and pure lifestyle, practice and
preach t he contrary, it is indeed t ime for Muslim
women to adopt the life style of Sayyedah Fat imah
( ) who received divine praise for her
morality.

People will be shocked to learn of t he high esteem
which she was held by t he Prophet and how
divine commandments were revealed to the Prophet
which were sp ecifically regarding Sayyedah
Fat imah ( ).

One of the main reasons for t he downfall of the
Muslims over t he p ast cent uries is t hat t hey have
forgott en their true models and ideals inst ead
adopting bogus and imperfect ones. Shaykh-ul-Islam
Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri, in this book and many ot hers in
the series, has p resent ed a cure for this cancer. The
choice is now ours whet her we want t he t rue cure or
opt for artificial ones.

General Note

For the ease of common readers t he following formula
has been used for Arabic words and names.

Various t ranslit erat ion symbols which are commonly
used have not been used in this book as not everyone
is familiar wit h exact ly what t hey st and for. For a few
words where there has been no ot her way but t o use
an apostrophe, it has been used such as Kab and
Muadh.

Ot her than the omission of translit erat ion symbols, all
ot her rules of t ranslit erat ion have been applied.

The Arabic form of names has been used rather t han
the European ones such as Ibrahim and not Abraham.
