There is an increasing recognition of the powerof constructive thought. This power can beemployed on a worldwide scale for spiritualpurposes if each one tries to understand thespiritual need of the world.Atriangle is a group of three people who linkeach day in thought for a few minutes ofcreative meditation. They need not necessarilylive in the same locality, and many internationaltriangles exist. Each day members sit quietly for a few minutesand link mentally with other members of theirtriangle, or triangles. They invoke the energiesof light and goodwill, visualising these energiesas circulating through the three focal points ofeach triangle, and pouring out through thenetwork of triangles surrounding the planet. Atthe same time they repeat the Great Invocation, thus helping to form a channel for thedownpouring of light and love into theconsciousness of humanity. The work takes only a few minutes to performand can be fitted into the most crowdedprogramme. It is not necessary for members tosynchronise the time at which the work is done,as once a triangle is built and functioning, it canbe vitalised by any one of its members. All men and women of goodwill who are willingto do the work outlined above and accept theworld service objectives of Triangles are invitedto participate. There are no other requirementsor membership subscription. The financialneeds of the work are provided solely andentirely by gifts of members and friends. The Great Invocation is a world prayertranslated into over seventy-five languages anddialects, and is used by all members ofTriangles. It expresses certain central truths:That there exists a basic Intelligence to Whomwe give the name of God.That there is a divine evolutionary Plan in theuniverse – the motivating power of which islove. That a great Individuality called by Christiansthe Christ – the World Teacher – came to Earthand embodied that love so that we couldunderstand that love and intelligence areeffects of the Purpose, and the Will, and thePlan of God. Many religions believe in a WorldTeacher, knowing Him under such names asThe Lord Maitreya, the Imam Mahdi, and theMessiah. The truth that only through humanity itself canthe divine Plan work out.
THEGREATINVOCATION
From the point of Light within the Mind of GodLet light stream forth into the minds of men.Let Light descend on Earth. From the point of Love within the Heart of GodLet love stream forth into the hearts of men.May Christ return to Earth. From the centre where the Will of God is knownLet purpose guide the little wills of men –The purpose which the Masters know and serve. From the centre which we call the race of menLet the Plan of Love and Light work outAnd may it seal the door where evil dwells.Let Light and Love and Power restore the Planon Earth.
The work of Triangles is simple, yet of deepspiritual significance. In order to clarify andreveal its essential simplicity, the followingpoints are useful.
1.
What is “Triangles”?
Triangles is an activitywhereby a network of light and goodwill coveringthe entire planet is created and maintained.2.
Why a network?
Anetwork provides thenecessary interlocking strands or channels alongwhich flow the spiritual energies of light andgoodwill invoked by all Triangles workers.3.
Why a triangle?
The triangle is a basicgeometric figure, spiritually symbolic of theessential Trinity of the Godhead. Threepeople can work as a group and providethree linked focal points through whichspiritual energy can circulate.4.
What does the network consist of?
The network is built of strands of lightedmental substance along which flows theenergy of goodwill.5.
How is it built?
The network is built andmaintained by the daily action of each Trianglesworker invoking spiritual energies and using thecreative power of the mind.6.
How is the work done?
Individuals link inthought and purpose with the other two members oftheir triangle, or triangles, seeing the vital energiesof light and goodwill circulating from point to point. They then direct the flow of energy into the network, clearly visualising the radiant worldwide network oftriangles, of which their own is a part. They thenrepeat the words of the Great Invocation withconcentration and intention.7.
Why use the Invocation?
The use of the GreatInvocation focuses and releases the spiritualenergies available for the vitalising of the wholenetwork.8.
What is the motive for joining Triangles?
Themotive is not personal benefit but world service.9.
How does the network increase (a) in quantity,(b) in quality?
(a). It is the responsibility of each Triangles workerto interest other men and women of goodwill andform new triangles for the strengthening andexpansion of the network.(b). The magnetic and radiant potency of theTriangles network depends upon the spiritualcontribution of each individual triangle tothe whole, which in turn depends uponthe daily action of each Triangles worker.10.
How is each triangle maintained?
Triangles workers keep in touch witheach other by letter and personalcontact, where possible, to ensure thattheir triangle is maintained as a functioningunit within the network.11.
Who is eligible for membership?
All intelligentmen and women of goodwill everywhere in theworld without distinction of race, religion, creed, caste or colour, are needed for service within theTriangles network.12.
Is Triangles a religious movement?
Trianglesis not connected with, or confined to, any one of thegreat world religions. It is a universal spiritualproject which, in practice, includes men and womenof all faiths.
The Triangles work, therefore, is an act of serviceto humanity. Triangles workers take up the activityin a spirit of co-operation and selfless service, andin order to stimulate and increase the flow of lightand goodwill all over the world.

Behind evolutionthere is an abiding purpose, which we can call thePlan of God.All who respond to spiritual need can, in their ownway and within their own environment, co-operatein fulfilling the divine Plan. The Plan works out through humanity. We areresponsible for understanding it, and for doingwhat we can through our daily living to express itsmeaning and significance.Triangles aids the divine Plan by working for thefollowing objectives:• To establish right human relations and tospread goodwill and understanding (light)amongst all peoples.• To raise the level of human consciousnessand to transform the mental and spiritualclimate of the planet.• To strengthen and support the work of themen and women of goodwill in the world.• To provide a reservoir of thought and toinspire practical and constructive action onbehalf of humanity.Triangles achieves its objectives by linking menand women of goodwill in a spiritual world servicethat transcends all barriers of race, creed, class, economic and political conviction.
