2008-2009 Volunteer Opportunities

Family Fun Nights

Help coordinate and organize a few evenings of family fun during the school year. Fun Nights for the2008-2009 school year tentatively include an ice cream social, Family Bingo Night, and Family Game Night, as well as a Parents Night Out.

Hospitality Committee

One or two volunteers are needed to recognize teachers’ birthdays, new births, weddings and retirements.

New Parents Coffee

Parents with children entering Central Private for the first time are considered guests of honor at thiscoffee social to meet other new parents in the school. Volunteers are needed to help set-up and clean-upand to meet the parents and answer questions.

Raffle Dinner

Volunteers needed for selling tickets to dinner, gathering door prizes for the dinner, and gathering auctionitems for dinner. Volunteers also needed for set up, clean up, and decoration. This is our biggest event of the year.

School Beautification Committee

A few volunteers are needed to add seasonal accent flowers to landscaping around the school as well asadd bird feeders and attractions as needed. This committee is also responsible for our “Picket” fundraiser,which sells engraved pickets surrounding the elementary playground.

Teacher Appreciation Luncheon

Volunteers are needed to bake, set-up, and clean up for this special luncheon held in May to recognize andacknowledge the dedication of Central Private’s many wonderful teachers.
