Sleeping Bear Dunes Campout for Young Adults
– Thepresbytery would like to invite Cedar young adults to hike thedunes and enjoy the “colors of fall” with Elder Alan James(Pilgrim OPC, Metamora, MI) and other young adults from acrossthe presbytery. On October 7-9, you can enjoy a weekendcampout, a dune and backwoods hike, a time of devotions andprayer, capped with a closing Sunday service and fellowship mealat Providence OPC in Manistee. Sunday School Teacher Training Seminar -
Several GrandRapids area Orthodox Presbyterian churches are sponsoring ateacher training seminar for all those with an interest in churcheducation. The speaker will be Dan Boulton of Great CommissionPublications. He will speak on two topics,"Making Sunday School work" and "Speaking the truth in love."
1. How to Make Sunday School Work
- This workshopwill assist those attending to learn about the role of parentsand teachers to maximize Sunday School. Biblical truthswill be taught and practical applications explained.

How to Speak the Truth in Love
- Those whoparticipate in this workshop will learn about God-focused,Christ-centered teaching, why teaching the Bible is soimportant, Bible teaching pitfalls to avoid, and more.The seminar will be held at Harvest OPC, 930 52nd Street SW,Wyoming, Michigan, on Saturday, October 1, 2011, from 9:00 amto noon. Those interested in further discussion are invited to stayfor a working lunch from noon to 1:30 pm. A light meal will beprovided. All those planning to attend must sign up by September28.
