OGDCL treats all its employees as a valuable asset. For attracting and retaining employees it provides a attractive compensation package. OGDCL believes that attractive compensation package leads to productivity and efficiency of organization.
1. An employee may be granted study leave by the managing director for the maximum period of two years during the entire service of the employee, provided that the employee has been in service of the company for a continuous period of 10 years.
2. Study leave may be granted for studies within Pakistan or abroad (outside Pakistan), provided that such studies may increase the usefulness of the employee to the company.
4. The employee shall also need to furnish abond in prescribed form, for an amount as specified by the company, to the effect that he and his sureties shall be liable to pay the specified amount to the company if the employee violates any terms and conditions of the bond.
An employee may be granted casual leave upto maximum of 20 days in a calendar year. However the casual leaves shall not be combined with any other leaves. The casual leave shall not be claimed as a matter of right. However, it shall be granted unless the presence of employee is absolutely necessary in an emergency or any extra ordinary circumstance.
Employees are a valuable asset for OGDCL. This is assured by providing them with life insurance policy to its high level management officers. The present life insurance system given by OGDCL t its officers are 48 basic salaries with a minimum sum assured of Rs. 0.50 million and a maximum of Rs. 1.5 million.
2. The regular employee granted advance for purchase of conveyance shall submit a declaration to the effect that he or any member of his family does not own a conveyance.
4. The employee having less than six years of service shall furnish two sureties of the regular employee of the company, each surety committing to 50% of the amount of advance, incase of employee failure to repay.
6. When the advance is fully repaid, the agreement, the mortgage bond or the surety bond, as the case may be, shall be returned to the employee concerned duly cancelled.
The HR department also allows its officers the choice of car from the makers and models available in the market. However the officer can request the car of choice within his entitlement only. The prices of following makes/models of vehicles are taken as baseline price for selection of car:
1. The family of an employee may, in the consequences of his transfer precede him by one month or follow him within six months to his new headquarter to which traveling allowance is admissible for the family.
