Course Description
This course introduces the project lifecycle, typical project management processes, leadership andteaming in project management, the relevance of business process analysis, strategic alignment of projects, and financial considerations in project selection.
Student Learning Objectives/Outcomes
Students will demonstrate the ability to:
Assess the applicability of generally recognized standards for the project managementprofession to their practice of project management
Apply business process improvement techniques to a business process
Assess project contribution to business strategy, purpose and plan
Consider financial contribution of potential projects in the context of strategic businessalignment and project selection
