What do all those lines and squiggles and dots mean? Basic Music Theory takes you through the sometimes confusing world of written music with a clear, concise style that is at times funny and always friendly.
The book is written by an experienced teacher using methods refined over more than ten years in schools and in his private teaching studio. Lessons are short, well-paced and enjoyable.
Whether you’re a beginner of any age, whether you’re an experienced player who wants to bone up on your theory, or whether you teach music and need a fun way to do it, you’ll find this book valuable and will refer to it again and again.

hi there.. i can't seem to purchase ur book bcos it's only available in US. I'd really like to have the PDF version for reason being it's easier to navigate (and of course more cost effective ;-) ). I'm from Malaysia and do you have any suggestion on where else can I get this? Thanks.
jharnum:
Hi - Thanks for the interest! You should be able to buy the PDF through Scribd. I will check into it and get back to you. For some reason, your note was flagged as "inappropriate" so I'll check on that, too.... I'll let you know...
jharnum:
you can get a hard copy through Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0970...), but the shipping would probably be pretty high....
jharnum:
okay, as far as I can tell, you are able to purchase the PDF anywhere in the world. Are you having trouble doing this?
All of these can be purchased (PDF), downloaded, and printed at home. This is especially good for this book b/c it's nearly impossible to find anywhere else.

Hello ..
I am happy to be your friend ..
I wish you success ..
Feel free to ask anything you want .
I live in Australia - how can I purchase this book?
jharnum:
If you buy it here on Scribd, you can print it yourself from the PDF for about 75% off the cover price. If you want a bound copy, there is only 1 copy left, and you'd have to pay shipping from US to AUS. Hope this helps!

Hi JHARNUM, my wife and I are much interested in your book and more than willing to pay for the right to download and print it. But we are not able to do so for the simple fact that we live outside United States. Is there any other way we can have access to this e-book??? Thanks in advance for your reply.
Full length PDF also has detailed bookmarking, hyperlinked Index, Table of Contents, and cross-references. Very navigable. Printable!
Excellent contribution, feel free to check out this: http://www.scribd.com/doc/338015/A-Ne...
Yes, please thank this author. This was very generous of both you and the author.
Thank you very much to the author. And thank you very much for posting it
Wow, great looking eBook on music theory for those just starting. Very well laid out, easy to understand and comprehensive. Dan-O http://www.danosongs.com
Nice document, perfect for people like me, who can play but don´t have an academic and theoretical knowledge of music, just intuition and our ears :-) This is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks a lot!
