Offerings: The offering for September is for EMM and budgeted items. Offering last week was $4,018.50. Attendance last week was 92. Sept. 12, Mon - Ministry Team Meeting, 6 p.m., Board of Elders Meeting at 7 p.m. Thanks for your prayers for these meetings. If you have questions, encouragement, suggestions, etc. for our church, please share them with the ministry team. Your input is welcomed. Sept. 14, Wed.-JGA, JBA & Jr. Youth will begin meeting at the Bowmansville

Mennonite Church from 7-8:30 p.m. JGA is for girls in grades 2-5. They will have a getting to know you evening for their first meeting. JGA leaders are Ronda Brubacher, Cindy Horning and Anita Ringler. JBA is for boys in grades 2-5. Their first evening will include a campfire and games. JBA leaders are Brian Martin and Rick Ringler. Jr. Youth is for guys and girls in grades 6-8. A campfire will be a part of their getting to know you first meeting. Jr. Youth Leaders are Darrell & Tammy Becker and Tony & Theresa Witmer. Sept. 18, Sun.-A hymn sing will held at the Alleghany Mennonite Meetinghouse, at 2 p.m. Paul Hurst of Bowmansville, will lead hymns from the 1928 Church Hymnal. Please bring your copies of this hymnal. For more info, call 717-3360009 or 610-777-3003. Sept. 19, Mon.-Pastor Miriam Book and Bishop Lawrence Chiles will tell "Stories from My Life" at James Street Mennonite Church, at 7 p.m. Admission is free; parking is provided. Enjoy a special evening with two exceptional Mennonite leaders. Sept. 21, Wed.- is the time for our Sewing Circle to meet at Bowmansville Church. Our project for this month will again be School Kits. Contents of new items only include 4 spiral or perforated notebooks (about 8.5 inches and 70 sheets), 4 unsharpened pencils, 1 ruler (flat, flexible plastic; indicating both 30cm and 12 inches) 12 colored pencils (in packaging), and 1 large pencil eraser (without packaging). Contents may be placed in drawstring bags (11 inches x 16 inches). Thank you for your contribution! Sept. 24, Sat.- Freedom Gate Ministries is holding their Fall Banquet Fundraiser at Yoders at 6 p.m. Earl Wise, a youth pastor from Reading will share the story of his journey to finding real life in Christ. Contact Glenn Zimmerman of Bowmansville at (717-577-7117) to reserve your seat. Table sponsors ($160/table of 8) are also needed. A free will offering will be received the evening of the banquet. Oct. 1, Sat- Woodcrest Benefit Auction: Breakfast, the auction starting at 9 a.m. Oct. 5, Wed.-Fall Senior Citizens Day, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at Woodcrest Retreat. Speaker Carl Sensenig will share Life Lessons: Stories from Childhood. Afternoon music provided by The Flying Dutchman. Buffet lunch and freewill offering. Call 738-2233 for reservations. Oct. 2, Sun.-Bowmansville Mennonite Church will be holding a Hymn Sing at the church, at 6:30 p.m. Merle Ressler will be leading the singing from the 1927 Church Hymnal, and the Church and Sunday School Hymnal. Song books are provided. Everyone is invited! Oct. 7 & 8, Fri. & Sat.-Save The Date! Hinkletown Mennonite School Benefit Auction will be held. Fri. from 4-8 p.m. and Sat.: 9 a.m. -To our family at Gehmans: Words cannot express our deep gratitude to all of you for your prayers, cards, flowers and support during these difficult days. Mildred Mohler, Terry, Lucy, Kristin & Chad Hollinger -Woodcrest Retreat is looking for Seamstresses who would be willing to sew Biblical Costumes for Journey to Bethlehem, a walk through live nativity that is being planned for Dec. 16 & 17. -All school-aged children are invited to participate in the musical "It's Cool in the Furnace". If you missed the information sheet in your mailbox last week or have questions, please see Darlene. Our first practice is Friday, Sept. 23rd. Notebooks and practice CDs are on the table in the narthex. -The Released Time Bible program for Adamstown Elementary school students will be beginning again here at Gehman on Sept. 21st . Volunteers will meet this Wed., Sept. 14th at 11-12:30 p.m. to make preparations. Lunch will be provided. Additional volunteers are welcome!
