Whatever. In 2006 the Southern Poverty Law Center calledWarden a racist and “perhaps the most dangerous characterto emerge in this year’s immigration debate.” You’d think that the partisan dominated media would afford
such a dangerous character
an interview, an opportunity toexpress his viewpoint and embarrass himself, so the publiccould
read his words and see for themselves just what arascal he really is,
wouldn’t you?Not so. Not even once. Warden says he’s had “more thanseveral” substantive interviews with the media, some bynational commentators, none of which has ever seen the lightof day. “CNN Rick Sanchez once told me, ‘Roy, I can sell left wingpropaganda and right wing racism, but nobody will dare topublish what you have to say.’” Warden, who has spent the last 5 years investigating OpenBorder Policy and the corruption of local media and legalinstitutions, says the era of media spin and vituperationregarding his conduct is nearing an end.He says his recent arrest will eventually bring the issue of Open Border Policy and Tucson City corruption into clearpublic view. “Go ahead, Google ‘Transcript of Tucson City Council Meetingon September 13, 2011’ and tell me just what you find to beso objectionable,” Warden says. “I’ve spent half a decade investigating and writing about the ‘Pima County Good Ole Boys’ and the subject of Tucson Citycorruption,” Warden says. “I’ve read numerous court documents and filed Public RecordRequests under Title 39, all of which has revealed theapparent theft of more than one half a million dollars in publicfunds to pay the personal debts of Tucson City Officials, including Tucson City Manager Richard Miranda. “On numerous occasions, ever since May 2011, I’ve broughtthis issue to the attention of Mayor Walkup and the TucsonCity Council and they refuse to look into it, or even commenton it,” says Warden.Instead of taking action on his charges, the Mayor andCouncil have blocked Warden’s speech, called it “impertinent, racist and scandalous,” and have had him arrested.
