Jeff, thank you for that snippet of your book. I live in the south of Germany and I watched my neighbor get in his Opel station wagon and chase the Google Street View car out of our neighborhood. GSV is not usable here; all you get are blurs and blurs punctuated by the odd hold out. The Germans used to have a thriving university system, but several wars decimated the population of scholars.
