Personality: The Unique and relatively stable patterns of behaviour, thoughts and emotion shown
by individuals. Personality is the particular combination of emotional, attitudinal, and behavioural response patterns of an individual .When we speak of personality we are referring to each individuals blend of traits that is relatively stable over time. The Big Five Dimensions Of Personality: 1) Extraversion: The extroversion trait includes characteristics such as sociability, high emotional expressiveness, excitability, assertiveness and talkativeness. 2) Conscientiousness: The conscientious trait includes attributes of high levels of thoughtfulness, impulse control and goal-directed behaviors. The conscientious people are mindful of details and highly organized. 3) Agreeableness: The agreeable personality dimension includes the attributes of altruism, trust, affection, kindness, and other pro-social behaviors. 4) Neuroticism: Neurotic individuals tend to experience anxiety, emotional instability, irritability, sadness and mood swings. 5) Openness to experience: The openness dimension of personality features attributes such as insight and imagination. Moreover, such individuals tend to have a wide spectrum of interests. Personality Traits Of Francis Ouimet-: Conscientiousness- When he was caddie at the country club, he used to work on his own golf game and trying to accumulates his own set of clubs. He was so interested that he used to practice at night in his room and won the Massachusetts school boy championship. He was supportive of his Caddie Eddie Lowery and even he took the responsibility of him, when Francis approached by the professional club for replacing his caddie. During the US Open championship, at the critical moments he was totally in control of his nerves and took decisions with the help of his caddie. Neuroticism:-Francis Oumiet was only amateur in US open championship and he was nervous and anxious during the qualifying matches. During the three foot putt that would have secure him a spot in the championship, he was in pressure and when he saw that his father is watching he got totally distracted, misses and falls one stroke short of qualifying for the US open championship.

Core Self-Evaluations: 1) Self Esteem: The overall value one places on oneself as a person. 2) Generalized Self-Efficacy: A persons beliefs about his/her capacity to perform specific task successfully. 3) Locus of Control: The extent to which individual feel that they are able to control things in manner that affects them. It is related positively to job satisfaction and performance. 4) Emotional Stability: The tendency to see oneself as confident, secure, and steady.

Achievements Motivation: The strength of individuals desire to excel- to succeed at difficult task and to them better than other person. People who are high in achievement motivation are attracted to task of moderate

difficulty, whereas people who are low in achievement motivation are attracted to tasks that are extremely easy or extremely difficult. Achievement motivation and goal orientation: 1) Learning goal orientation: The desire to perform well because it satisfies an interest in meeting a challenge and learning new skills. 2) Performance goal orientation: The desire to perform well to demonstrate once competence to other. 3) Avoidance goal orientation: The desire to achieve success to avoid appearing incompetent and to avoid receiving negative evaluation from others.
