The Professional Management Program

The Professional Management Program (PMP) operates under Bell Mobilitys Marketing division. Marketing evaluates the competitive landscape, identifies profitable market opportunities and optimizes business operations. This helps Bell maintain their position as a market leader in the telecommunications industry. Founded by a Harvard alumnus, the PMP is an innovative voluntary internship that provides substantial professional development, mentorship, real-world experience and the opportunity for growth in a dynamic environment. The programs holistic approach to learning promotes crossfunctional collaboration and individual achievement. Alongside initiatives to understand the telecommunications industry, Associates continually engage in projects aimed at strengthening the program, and ultimately, their development as well-rounded professionals.

Tenured Associates receive one-on-one resume feedback during TAP sessions.

The People
The tremendous growth of the program is attributed to the entrepreneurial drive of Associates and their commitment to learning, transparency, accountability, consistency and teamwork. Associates come from a variety of backgrounds, but all possess the natural ability to think analytically and constructively.

70/30 Workload Split

The workload at the PMP is designed to help Associates develop and expand their capabilities for a well-rounded experience. Associates spend 70% of their time on direct initiatives related to their department. The remaining 30% of their time is dedicated to completing crossdepartmental tasks such as field studies, attending events, workshops, career management sessions and building community relations.

One of my most rewarding experiences is working with Associates from all eight departments. Not only do we get interesting and challenging projects but we also get the opportunity to develop long lasting professional relationships.
