Earthquake Has everybody here heard of an earthquake? Do you know what is like when it happens? Well, I once experienced it. Okay, Ill tell you about my experienced. Listen. I was driving along the coast road when the car suddenly lurched to one side. You know what happened? At first I thought a tire had gone flat but then I saw telegraph poles collapsing like matchstick. Its terrible, isnt it? Next guess what! The rock came tumbling across the road and I had to get out of the car. When I got back to the town, well as I said, there wasnt much left. My God, that was a nightmare.

An Excursion to Bogor Botanic Garden All right, everybody, Ill tell you about this great place. On Friday 16 March we went to Bogor Botanic Garden. We went there by bus and we arrived at that famous garden at 10 oclock. Arriving at the garden, we were divided into two groups. Group A followed Mrs. Nina and Group B followed Mr. Ahmad. I was in group A. Well, first we went to odd tropical plants and Mrs. Nina read us some of the information. Then, we looked at all the lovely plants. After that, we went to a little spot near the Raffles cemetery and had morning tea. Next, we did some sketching and then we met group B at the information center to have our lunch. Soon, it was time for us to go to the orchid section while Group B did some research on flowers. UhmA lady led us to the orchid section. Then, she explained about many kinds of Orchids.

Last Sunday, uncle Sam took me to the swimming pool. He said he was going to teach me how to swim. I hated water, but it was compulsory for us to learn swimming in my school. In the beginning, I was very scared because I had never swum before, so uncle Sam held me as I learnt to kick and float in the pool. Then, I practiced using the swimming board. Finally, I could swim with the board without any help. Now, I looked forward to my next swimming lesson.

In the afternoon, my friends and I put up the tent near a big river. As soon as this was done we cooked a meal over an open fire. We were all hungry and the food smelt good. After the wonderful meal, we told story and sang songs by the camp fire. But sometime later, it began to rain. We felt tired, so we put out the fire and crept into our tent. We slept soundly. In the middle of the night, one of my friends woke up and began shouting. The tent was suddenly full of water. We hurriedly went outside and found that the big river was in flood.

OK! Thats the end of the class. Dont forget your homework for tomorrow! Wow, I liked that ghost story! Do you think its true? Oh, no, I dont think so. Its just in a book. lets ask him. Do you believe in ghosts, Martin? OherWellI did have a strange experience once. Really? Yes..about seven years ago..a friend of mine and I were sitting in my grandmothers lounge, talking. Student A/B : Oh yes. Martin : My grandmother has a big old house near Londonand anyway, she was in the Martin Student A Student B Student A Martin Student A Martin : : : : : : : garden and my friend and I were in the lounge and suddenly we heard a noise upstairs. It wasnt a big noise. We thought maybe a mouse or something. Anyway, we went upstairs andit seemed to be coming from my grandmothers bedroom. Student A/B : Did you go in? Martin : Yes, we went inside and well, it was amazing really. All the furniture in my grandmothers bedroom was on the left side of the room, and the carpet was neatly rolled up on the other side of the room. Student A/B : Oh! Martin : And this furniture is really heavy - a very heavy wardrobe, chest of drawers, bed-this things would take four men to lift. It was really scary! Student A/B : Wow! Martin : And all we heard was a tiny noisefor no more than around a minute. My grandmother said it happened once before, too. The really scary thing is.she didnt seem to mind!

Next, we had a look at the Indonesian orchid. Wow, we saw many kinds of Indonesian orchids. They were all beautiful. Later, we took a look at the American, European and Asian orchids section. I was interesting. Soon after we had finished our observations, we went back outside and met group B. Then, we got on the bus and returned to school. We really enjoyed the trip and to Bogor Botanic Garden. Task 4 Listen to another story fill the table and rewrite the story you have heard in the summary form. Follow the outline you have made.
