Should you be elected, what are three specific areas you'd like to change, address, improve or further research, and how specifically would you go about it? I sense the beginnings of a Crisis in Confidence in Munson Township Government. I intend to bring a return of that confidence with the use of my leadership skills. Fiscal management exists as a primary concern in the township. The planning and procedures revolving around the Town Hall vexes many of the residents. What should have been the procedure for determining the seemingly ill-fated new Town Hall? Why were significant funds spent for an architectural design prior to wetlands determination when a simple and less expensive footprint might have been sufficient before abandoning the site? Many questions go unanswered. Common-sense, step-by-step planning seems to have been missing in a major project. I intend to lead logical, common-sense, step-by-step conservative planning. The Geauga County Auditor recently red-flagged the Munson Township budget. The Townships have to be responsible . . . you really cant collect it [taxes] and not spend it . . . you need the money for something or dont collect it. (Geauga Maple Leaf, September 1, 2011) We need conservative, responsible fiscal management. My decisions will be based on that philosophy.

Whether for past accomplishments or future goals, why should voters elect you? I am a rich man, not wealth, but rich in the many gifts and opportunities I have had the chance to experience. I have good friends, a beautiful wife, three great sons and a wonderful grandson. I live in the best country, state, count and township in the world. I was raised to believe that because I was blessed with such gifts it is my duty to give back in service to my neighbors. I will do that though my service as a Munson Township Trustee. My life and career has been and will continue to be about responsible, conservative, reasoned leadership. I will be responsible and responsive to my neighbors. As a steward of public funds - my neighbors funds - I intend to be conservative, thoughtful, and questioning. I will make decisions using a logical common-sense approach, based upon the best data available and I will accept the responsibility for those decisions. More importantly, I will be willing to rethink a decision if more data or better becomes available. In addition to my volunteer service, in my professional life I work with companies and individuals in developing leadership and decision-making skills. Leadership Geauga County has worked with numerous elected officials including Geauga Countys Commissioners, Sheriff and his command staff, Coroner, and numerous township trustees. I believe that makes me uniquely qualified for the position of Munson Township Trustee.
