Arcane archers are masters of ranged combat, as theypossess the ability to strike at targets with unerringaccuracy and can imbue their arrows with powerful spells.
Arcane Pool (Su):
An arcane archer can onlyenhance bows with her arcane pool. She also adds the
property to her list of special weapon properties.
Bow Mastery (Ex):
level, an arcane archergains weapon focus with all bows, whether she meets theprerequisites or not. At 8
level, she also gains weaponspecialization with all bows. This ability replaces spellcombat and improved spell combat.
Ranged Spellstrike (Su):
level, an arcanearcher can use spellstrike to cast a ranged touch attack spell and deliver it through an arrow. Even if the spell cannormally affect multiple targets, only a single missile, ray,or effect accompanies the attack.At 11
level, an arcane archer using a multiple-targetspell with this ability may deliver one ray or line of effectwith each attack when using a full-attack action, up to themaximum allowed by the spell (in the case of ray effects).Any effects not used in the round the spell is cast are lost.This ability replaces spell recall and improved spell recall.
Imbue Arrow (Su):
level, an arcane archergains the ability to cast a spell with an area effect upon anarrow. She fires the arrow as a free action as part of thecasting, and when the arrow is fired, the spell
’s area is
centered where the arrow lands, even if the spell isnormally centered on the caster. A spell cast in this wayuses its standard casting time. An arcane archer can targeta creature with this arrow, centering the spell on thatcreature as well as dealing the bow
’s damage. If
an arcane archer misses this shot, the spell iswasted.
Seeker Arrow (Sp):
level, as a standardaction, an arcane archer can launch an arrow at a targetknown to her within range, and the arrow travels to thetarget, even around corners. Only an unavoidable obstacleor the limit of the arrow
’s range prevents the arrow’s
flight. This ability negates cover and concealmentmodifiers, but otherwise the attack is rolled normally. Anarcane archer can use this ability once per day at 13
level, and one additional time per day for every two levelsthereafter (to a maximum of four times per day at 19
level). This ability replaces heavy armor.
Phase Arrow (Sp):
level, as a standardaction, an arcane archer can launch an arrow at a targetknown to her within range, and the arrow travels to thetarget in a straight path, passing through any nonmagicalbarrier or wall in its way. This ability negates cover,concealment, armor, and shield modifiers, but otherwisethe attack is rolled normally. An arcane archer can usethis ability once per day at 14
level, and one additionaltime per day every 2 levels thereafter (to a maximum of four times per day at 20
level). This ability replacesgreater spell combat.
Hail of Arrows (Sp):
level, once per day, inlieu of her normal full attack, an arcane archer can fire anarrow at each and every target within her bow
s firstrange increment, to a maximum of one target for ever 2arcane archer levels she possesses. Each attack uses thearcane archer
s highest base attack bonus, and eachenemy may only be targeted by a single arrow. Thisability replaces counterstrike.
Arrow of Death (Sp):
level, an arcane archercan create a special type of
that forces thetarget, if damaged by the arrow, to make a fortitude saveor be slain immediately. The DC of this save is equal to20 + the arcane archer
s intelligence modifier. It takes 1day to make an arrow of death, and the arrow onlyfunctions for the arcane archer who created it. The arrowof death lasts no longer than 1 year, and the archer canonly have one such arrow in existence at a time. Thisability replaces true magus.
