Volunteer and Other Experience


Flagship Volunteer Franklin Flagship Program February 2011-May 2011 Instructed two after-school Spanish classes for students ages eight to eleven. Created dynamic lesson plans that incorporated both language and culture instruction and elicited student response and participation. Managed student behavior in order to retain student attention and successfully complete lessons. Peer Club President Undergraduate Advising Center, UM August 2010-May 2011 Lead meetings of all peer club members, introducing the topics on the agenda and delegating tasks to members. Maintained contact with staff supervisors and student members, facilitating communication and updating all parties on the progress of club projects. Recruited members to participate in club events and create agendas and master schedules.
