I was working in the lab late one night When my eyes beheld an eerie sight For my monster from his slab began to rise And suddenly to my surprise He did the mash He did the monster mash The monster mash It was a graveyard smash He did the mash It caught on in a flash He did the mash He did the monster mash Every holiday has its traditional songs and Halloween has quite a list of tunes we might
write the theme song for Ghostbusters. The lyrics came to him while watching a T.V. infomercial. The phone number flashing across the screen gave him the idea for the lyrics Who You Gonna Call? It stayed at No. 1 for three weeks on the Billboard Hot 100. Monster Mash Bobby (Boris) Pickett Derived from Picketts monologue-rendition of horror film actor Boris Karloff while he and his band were performing a song by The Diamonds. The Monster Mash single reached No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100 on October 20, 1962. Time Warp Richard OBrien Time Warp is song/dance number featured in the cult flick, Rocky Horror Picture Show. The song has been covered by artists even including Alvin and the Chipmunks Thriller Michael Jackson Written by Rod Temperton and produced by Quincy Jones, the song reached No.4 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart and No. 1 on the Radio & Records singles charts. And whats a Halloween song without an epic 14-minute video? Full of zombielike jazz moves choreographed by both Michael Peters and Michael Jackson, the video includes actor Vincent Price known for his distinctive voice in horror films who was brought in to do a rap solo in the middle of the short One of the most recognized Halloween tunes is the Monster Mash by Bobby Boris Picket. An interesting bit of trivia is that after his death, his daughter Nancy had a .44 ct colorless LifeGem diamond created from his cremated remains. She wears it in a white gold solitaire ring. film. The video won a Grammy in 1985 for best video, long form. Tubular Bells Pt. 1 Mike Oldfield - (Theme From The Exorcist) (1973) Can you say creepy? The producers of The Exorcist knew what they were doing when they chose this song for a theme. Alfred Hitchcock Presents Theme Song Another ominous party song is The Funeral March of a Marionette by Eounod, known to us as the theme song for Alfred Hitchcock Presents. Trills at the beginning of the song signal suspense filled music that follows. Jaws Theme Song. Jaws may not come to mind on Halloween, but the music is a frightful reminder of predator and prey. The music is dark, dramatic, and climactic. The Jaws Theme Song echoes fear in the hearts of listeners. Who knows what lurks in the dark?
This Is Halloween Danny Elfman Composed by Danny Elfman, the Halloween song was covered by Marilyn Mason in 2006, and was also used in the video game Kingdom Hearts. The soundtrack album from the epic Tim Burton film The Nightmare Before Christmas peaked at No. 98 on the Billboard 200 and was nominated for best original score in the 1993 Golden Globes. the common cold; but there are natural ways to shorten the viruses cycle. Antibiotics do not kill these viruses and can lead to resistant strains of bacteria. Prevention is the best approach to combat the cold virus; however once its taken hold, the best you can do is try to minimize your symptoms. Here are a few tips to prepare you and your family for the onslaught of the cold season, which tends to run from September until March or April.
Frequent hand washing is one of the simplest and most effective ways to keep from catching cold. Anti-bacterial washes allow you to get the benefits of hand washing when you dont have access to soap and water. Alcohol based foams and gels are recommended by the Center for Disease Control for hand hygiene. Just realize, antibacterial washes kill all bacteria good and bad, so when possible use a nonanti-bacterial soap and wash your hands completely for 20 seconds. Just in case you do catch cold, make sure your medicine cabinet or first aid kit is fully stocked with current over the counter medications or natural supplements. You should examine the contents of your medicine cabinet and discard any expired medicines at least once a year. Then youll want to restock with a supply of cough suppressants, pain relievers and antihistamines that may provide the perfect combination to combat the symptoms of any colds you might catch this season. Keep this in mind that the most convenient medicines are portable so that you can manage your symptoms even when youre not at home. Portable medicines, such as cough drop suppressants mean you can get effective cough relief whenever and wherever you need it.
Maintaining a well-balanced diet is also a cold prevention tip. Plenty of nutritious food is essential to building a healthy immune system. A well-balanced diet provides sources of energy and nutrition for optimal growth and development. Taking a daily multi-vitamin also helps ensure that you will receive an adequate dose of minerals and vitamins and drink plenty of water. On average, a person needs seven to eight hours of sleep every night. Lack of sleep can lower the immune systems ability to react when needed. Without sufficient sleep, the immune system is hard pressed to keep up with its nightly repair work. This creates the opportunity for the disease process to begin. These are just a few suggestions to help you and your family enjoy the fall season without a runny nose, itchy eyes, achy head and persistent cough. If you have any questions or would like more information e-mail me at the Delphos Trading Post sami@delphostradingpost.com. Good luck and best wishes for a cold free season.

My brain says its the right thing to do, but, admittedly, my heart says its nothing but a big mistake. Even that wonderfully perfect parent Ward Cleaver once said. When you make a mistake, admit it.
