SIERRA LUTHERAN CHURCH 1ST ANNUAL PUT UP OR SHUT UP CHILI COOK-OFF

Team Entry Form


Cooking information and chili cooking guidelines are available on the website, www.sierralutheranchurch.org.
Register by October 28 and receive the early bird fee of $25 per team (maximum 3 people and one recipe per
team). After October 28 registration is $40 per team. Final Deadline: November 4, 2011 (Friday).
Teams and Individuals must provide a minimum of one gallon of chili for the public to sample. Each cooking team
will be limited to a maximum of three people. Each team must agree to official rules & regulations.
* Please arrive at 7 a.m. on November 12, for set up. Check in at the registration table upon arrival.
* Cooking will take place from 8 to 11 a.m. Samples will be judged at 11:15 p.m.
* Teams must supply their own cooking utensils, products, and accessories related to preparation of the chili. This
includes a heating apparatus-camping stove, stoves, fuel, canned fuel (i.e., Sterno), etc.
* Each team will have a Head Chef who will be responsible for cooking a minimum of one gallon of chili and turning
in one cup of chili for judging in the judging cup supplied.
* Chili may be dispensed to the public only after judging samples have been collected. SLC will provide small
sampling cups and spoons.
* Contestants are encouraged to decorate their booth.
* Canopies are encouraged because of possible weather conditions.
