Completion Report on Parking Garage Layout Change StudyWe have attached my completion report for my parking garage layout change study. Wecompleted the tasks which we described in our October 10, 2007 proposal: ParkingGarage Layout Study.First, we examined the effects of the problem by coming up with an estimate of howmuch money in damages this causes students. At an average of 500 dollars in damages per car that receives door damage due to narrow parking stall width, students receive over a million dollars in damages each year due to poor design (Hobden). We then identified possible solutions which could be implemented to address the problem. We found thatangling and widening the stalls would make parking more safe, decrease damages tostudent automobiles, and make the parking stalls within Bellevue parking code.We appreciate the opportunity to help improve Bellevue Community College and asstudents we are always willing to help out the community. If you have any questions, comments, or needs, feel free to contact us directly.

Abstract
Recommendation for Parking Garage Layout Change: A Completion Report
Prepared by: Anthony Perish, StudentThe Bellevue Community College parking garage is unsafe, causes damages to studentautomobiles, and does not meet Bellevue parking code. The purpose of this study was toexamine options which could solve these problems. First, 100 students who regularly park in the parking garage were surveyed to see how big the problem actually is. After we saw that the problem needed solving, we came up with four options. These optionswere then analyzed based on necessary criteria and secondary, unnecessary criteria to seehow well each of them solved the given problems. We then generated the finalrecommendation that the parking garage should be repainted with wider parking spots at45 degree angles. This solution would do three things: Make the parking garage withinBellevue parking code, make it more safe, and reduce damages caused by it. With thesethings done, Bellevue Community College will provide a better learning environment for its students. Keywords: Bellevue Community College, parking garage, stall, width, safety
