MediaMonkey and theLastFMNode Extension

The purpose of this post is to share something with youall that I found. It's an extension for MediaMonkey called LastFMNode.Last.fm is a fantastic online digital radio site. It has been around for manyyears and is one of my old favorites (late night studying and listening tomusic). What this extension does, is it takes the current song playing inmediamonkey and searches the last.fm database and finds similar artistsand music to the one that is playing. It has a built in Auto DJ feature to queuesongs that are similar.So if you are like me, and just want to turn on your music player and have itplay music that matches and not have to worry about djing your musiccollection, then this is the add-on for you!So for any of you out there that haven't moved to mediamonkey becausethey couldn't live without the iTunes genius functionality, YOU NOW CAN!Download the extensionhereIf you have mediamonkey already installed, your computer should now whatthe file is. Just double click it (or run as admin) while mediamonkey isrunning, and it will say installation successful.Now to configure it, click tools -> options. Then under Library, select Last.FMNode.
 
Here are what your settings should look like. Hover over the up and downarrows next to the numbers to see what they represent. Drop a song file intoyour Now Playing list and then click on tags folder and play your song.
