1.EXT. A MUD HUT .

EVE
From a blank screen with a background sound suggesting a heavy
downpour of rain a title appears "Jco Loo".
Fade in on an extreme close up of a woman's eye. A tear rolls
down her cheek and camera follows the tear drop.Suddenly a
slash of rain hits her face. Cut from extreme close up to a
mid-shot.Her hair and face are drenched with rain water mixing
with her tears. She doesn't move.Just fixed her looks in to
nothingness.
She is RAMA a 23-25 year old young sensuous woman in her royal
blue saree. Siting on the elevated place in the right side of
court yard of the hut.
Along with another whiff of air along with rain slashing on
Rama's face the hut door opens with a big sound. A skinny and
wicked looking old woman in her 70's walks out. Rushes towards
her left where sarees are hanging on a thread for drying.The
old woman is in her white saree and not wearing a blouse.
Old woman picks up the sarees and turns back to look at Rama
irritatingly murmuring within herself.Rama is still looking
lost. From Rama's left, from a foggy rain we could see a
village at a distance.
Old woman walks past Rama looking insistently for her
response. Stops at the door and turns back to look at Rama who
is still looking away.
Old woman walks towards Rama and says...

Rama doesn't respond. Old woman walks up to her and touches
Rama's shoulder and says...

Rama looks at the old woman and her hand on the shoulder with
a hint of disapproval. Old woman withdraws her hand.

Old woman turns back to go in to the door. Just turns her head

Old woman shakes her head with disapproval and steps in to the
door. Stops again and asks...

A lightening falls and a thunder roars at a distance.
Old woman goes in to house murmuring.

(murmuring)

Rama continues to look at the rain. From the edge of the roof
water is dripping like tears. Windows shutter with wind.Rama
wipes tears from her eyes. Ties up the untied hair. Her face
is now clearly seen.She takes her saree pallu to wipe her face
revealing her healthy breasts in her white blouse.
Rama gets up and walks up to the steps and stops to look at
the rain drops falling from edge of the roof. Puts her both
hand and collects rain water and looks at it. Her reflection
is hardly visible in the water and slowly water drains out
from her hand.
Suddenly next to Rama is the old woman with a steaming tea in
a silver/aluminum glass. Rama is taken a back at once. Looks
at the old woman.

hold it with two hands feeling the warmth of the glass. closes
her eyes and sips once.
Looking at Rama's closed eyes old woman continues to speak.

tea glass on to floor.

Rama turns from there and goes back to where she was sitting
earlier. Old woman looks on to her and looks at the fallen
glass. Picks the glass up and says...

Takes the glass and moves towards Rama and menacingly looks at
Rama..Rama is still looking away in to the roof in tearful

Hands are shaking and eyes are puffed with an unbelievable

Rama's face is shivering with anger. Turns towards Old woman
and almost moves towards her as if to beat her up. Old woman
steps back with fear. Rama looks at her closely and
hysterically holds old woman's neck and shouts at her.

Rama leaves the old woman and falls down on floor crying.Old
woman escapes from Rama and walks away in to the door. While
going old woman says..

Rama is on floor crying, her tears rolling on the floor.
Camera moves away from her to extreme long shot. She is lying
in an odd shape on the red floor in her blue saree as if a
dry flower is placed in the middle of a dessert.
Evening is turning in to night. The little light that is
around is vanishing.

2.EXT. VARANDA OF THE MUD HUT NIGHT
FADE IN
Old woman comes out of the door with a lamp in hand. Light
spreads across the varanda.Old woman has a shawl on her
shoulder. Rama is still lying on the floor senseless.It is
still raining. Only the sound of rain is heard heavily in the
dark night around.
Old woman approaches Rama. Places the lap near Rama's face.
Rama's face is clearly seen. The dried tears have formed lines
on her cheeks.Her hair is loosened and covering her face. With
the falling light on her face, Rama forcefully opened her eyes
and looked at the Old woman.
OLD WOMAN

Old woman takes out the shawl and extends it to Rama.
OLD WOMAN

Rama while getting up takes the shawl and holds it close to
her heart and rubs her face with it. A crying babies sound is
posted on to the screen as the camera moves close to Rama's
close up. Rama is trying to feel the shawl with a face as if
to recollect a memory.
Old woman looks at Rama and let's out a sigh.

Old woman leaves the lamp there and goes in to the hut. A
small light can be seen from in side of the hut through the
door.
Rama looks at the darkness out side. Some showers of rain is
lashing on to the floor. Rama is looking down at the flashing
water. Suddenly a strange man's voice is heard.

Rama startled a bit but settles back in to look at the
direction where the voice is heard.
A 28-30 year old man steps in from the dark with an umbrella
on his left arm and a small suitcase in the right. As the lamp
is placed on the floor his face is not clearly visible.

There is a change in Rama's expression and lends her ear
carefully to listen to the stranger and puts a step forward to
see the man.

lamp in her hand. The stranger comes forward. His face is half

Rama makes an expression as if she recognized the voice and
excitingly lifts up the lamp to see his face.The stranger
steps forward...

Rama is carefully examining the stranger. Her eyes are sharp
and forehead is forming folds as if to force a forgotten
memory to come back.

Rama disappointingly steps back. The stranger steps forward.
He is now clearly visible. An average looking but strong man.
All his cloths are wet and his hair is dripping with water. He
is trying to push his falling hair back and smiling at Rama.

woman looks at Rama and picks up the suitcase.

3.INT. IN THE HUT NIGHT.
FADE IN
Jagannath is sitting in front of a served meal on a banana
leaf.Old woman is serving him hot rice. Jagannath's eyes are
searching for Rama.
Old woman serves rice and looks at him.Tries to initiate a
talk but stops from it by looking at the next room door.
Jagannath observes that and he too looks at the door. Rama who
is sitting near the door lights up a lamp next to her.
Rama is looking fresh and in her white saree with red
blouse.Bright red bindi on her forehead is glowing. Her lose
hair is covering half of her face, but her eyes are fixed on
Jagannath. Jagannath couldn't take his eyes off her.

4.INT. BED ROOM IN THE HUT . NIGHT
Jagannath is hesitantly sitting on a bed. Next to his bed is a
table in which pan is artistically arranged in a silver
plate.Next to it is a brightly light lamp. An old arm chair is
kept in front of the bed.
Jagannath shook his head in disbelief. A faint smile comes on
his face as flash of Rama's memory comes to him.
Suddenly there is a sound of anklets and bangles.Jagannath
looks at the door as Rama walks in. He gets up from bed
welcoming her.

the chair as she hears about the death. She rearranges her
pallu.Jagannath moves a bit forward towards Rama. A sound near
the door is heard. Jagannath withdraws. Rama looks at the door

Old woman standing there placing her ear to the door. Rama

towards Jagannath.Jagannath is looking at the roof and
listening to the sound of rain. Suddenly asks...

see her face feelings but fails.

assuming that he has offended her. She walking away from there

Jagannath looks on to her as she walks away and vanishes in to
the door. At a distance a thunder roar is heard. It is still
raining and the sound can be heard. Jagannath lye down on the
bed adjusting the pillow and looks at the roof.
In a flash we show brightly light Rama's face, her toe rubbing
the floor.Her eyes...screen goes blank.
5.INT. BED ROOM. NIGHT
Screen is still dark door sound it heard and a heavy breath of
a man. From the POV of sleeping Jagannath Rama walking from
the door with a glass in her hand wrapped up in her pallu is
seen.

Jagannath slowly opens his eyes concealing from Rama and
observes her.
Rama walks up to him and places the glass next to his
table.Calls him out...

Jgannath didn't move. Rama picks up the lamp and brings near
to his face and examines a mark on the forehead.Jagannath
moves a bit. Rama steps back.

(opening his eyes)

Rama lowers her head and puts back the lamp on table and picks
up the glass and offers him.

Rama looks at him empathetical. He looks back at her. Both
their eyes are locked in to each other for a while. Jagannath
observes her face and body.
Jagannath's breath becomes heavy.Rama's cheeks turn red and
eyes are lowered shy.An uneasy silence exists.Jagannath
breaking the silence.

crying face.
Shocked Jagannath is sitting bewildered on the bed.Intensity
of the rain has slowed down. Frogs are making strange noises.
He slowly pulls up the pillow and lye down diagonally to the
bed.Clock on the wall is showing 10.30. Slowly a melodious
voice singing a sad tune is heard in the air.
