graduated from Willowridge High School in 1986. She is the daughter of Iris and Larry Petitt and the sister to S atony a and Kevin, who is deceased. She is also a very proud aunt to her two wonderful nephews, Deandre and Kaiden. Angela received her BBA degree from the University of Houston-Downtown in 1998 and her MBA from the University of Phoenix in 2004. Angela's employment history includes University Savings, Chase Bank, Hewlett Packard and currently she is employed at Waste Management, where she has been since 2006. Angela's honors and recognitions include the following: University Study Abroad Scholarship Recipient, UH-Downtown Communications Conference Student Presenter, Chase Bank Tell Recognition Performance Awards, Chase Bank "Star Treatment" Awards for Excellent Customer Service, Compaq Supply Chain Recognitions for Project Delivery, Mary Kay Sales Recognitions, WM Peer Recognitions for Accomplishments, and WM Director Recognitions for Excellent Service and Performance. Angela's social and professional affiliations include Inspire Women Organization of Second Baptist Church, Women's Professional Network (WM), Minority Professional Network, University of Phoenix Alumni, University of Houston-Downtown Alumni, National Association for Female Executives, West Houston Christian Center, National Black MBA Association, International Institute of Business Analysis, and the American Association of Notaries. Angela's community service projects are impressive. From 1993-1995, Angela served on the Singles Bible Study Leadership Team which was responsible for greeting and coordinating weekly classes at Second Baptist Church. In 1996, she provided outreach to nursing home occupants during annual holidays. In 1998, she served as a Vacation Bible Club Leader and Teacher at a Corpus Christi Mission. In 2001, she took her Bible Study leadership skills to Brazil where she served as a youth leader and teacher. From 1992-2003, Angela was active with the West Houston Christian Center where she served in various capacities including daycare facilitator and worker, Bible Study Teacher, Singles Group Leader, Conversational English Teacher, Event Greeter, Evangelism Outreach Team Member, and church volunteer. In 2003, Angela joined an organization called Inspire Women where she is continuing to serve as an ambassador responsible for rallying women together for annual city-wide conferences. In 2008, she became a mentor to juvenile delinquent inmates held in the Harris County Juvenile Detention Center and continues to serve in that capacity today.
