Foreword
We live in ast-moving times in which changes happen on a dailybasis. Some o these changes demand decisions about theuture, and many companies are now conronted by one suchchallenge, because something is heading their way which couldpermanently change conventional online retailing. FacebookCommerce has got underway, and we should look careully tosee whether it is a train onto which it is really worth jumping.Up until very recently, Facebook was simply a social networkin which riends met in their own communities and kept eachother updated about their activities. That has now changed.More and more brands are establishing a presence on Facebook.Nowadays, many Facebook users are riends with numerousbrands, which have thus become part o their networks.This kind o direct dialogue within a very private sphere is at thecentre o F-Commerce, and it is becoming an eective marketingtool with which products will soon be able to be sold etremelysuccessully.In this study, BBDO sheds light on the subject rom our dierentangles: Facebook, users, businesses, and service providers. Wethen draw up some recommended actions or businesses on thebasis o these dierent points o view.One thing, ater all, is certain: it is crucial to get irmly to grips withthis transormation in retail.
