Based at theGraduate Institute’s Programme for the Study of Global Migration in Geneva,Switzerland, the GDP’s aims include: (1) providing researchers, advocates, and journalists with a measurable and regularly updated baseline foranalysing the growth and evolution of detention practices and policies;(2) encouraging scholarship in this field of immigration studies; and(3) facilitating accountability and transparency in the treatment of detainees. © Global Detention Project 2011Global Detention ProjectProgramme for the Study of Global MigrationGraduate Institute of International and Development StudiesRue de Lausanne 132P.O.
