This Cape is designed to be worked as a cooperative project. The I-Cord Band is quickand easy for a child to work using a knitting spool; make sure that the Band is notworked too tightly. If you prefer, you or the child may work the I-Cord Band withoutusing a knitting spool (see below). The increase rows in the Body of the Cape areintended for the adult to work, but they could be worked by a skilled child knitter. Theplain rows in between and at the bottom portion of the Cape should be easy forbeginning child knitters. The Pom-poms can be made using a pom-pom maker or by following instructionsgiven in pattern. Place them in a pattern of your choice, or use them to cover knittingmistakes.
Using MC and knitting spool (optional), work I-Cord 32" long.
If you prefer to work I-Cord without using a knitting spool, see “SpecialTechniques: I-Cord.” Place st marker 9
