On September 17, 2011, people fromallacross the United States of America and the worldcamejoined togetherto protest theblatantinjusticesof blatant inour timesthat are being perpetuated bytheeconomic and political elites. On the 17th we as within a corrupted social, political, and economic system.Asindividualswerose up againstsystematicpolitical disenfranchisement andwidespreadsocial and economic injustice. We spoke out, resisted, and successfully occupied Wall Street.Today, we proudly remain in Liberty Square constituting ourselves asa community of  autonomous political beings engaged in non-violent civil disobedience and building solidaritybased on mutual respect, acceptance, and love.It is from these reclaimed grounds that we say toall Americans and to the world,Enough! How many crises does it take?We are the 99% andwe have moved to reclaim our mortgaged future.Through a direct democratic process, we havecome together as individuals and crafted these principles of solidarity, which are points of unitythat include but are not limited to: We have been joined in these efforts by Occupations across the Nation and the globe in aMovement that continues to grow.It is from these reclaimed grounds that we say to all Americans and to the world:Enough! How many crises does it take?The time has come for action. We are the 99% and weare acting to reclaim our mortgaged future. Through direct democratic process we have cometogether as individuals and crafted the following principles of solidarity. These points of unityinclude but are not limited to:
Engagingas citizensin direct and transparent participatory democracy;
Reforming our social and political institutions and processes to achieve true democracy inpractice;
Re-establishing a viable political public sphere;
Exercising personal and collective responsibility;
Recognizingindividuals’ theinherentprivilegerights of individualsand the influenceit hasthese haveonallsocialinteractions;
Empowering one another against all forms of oppression;
Redefininghowand revaluinglaboris valued;
The Respecting thesanctity of individual privacy;
The beliefEstablishing the principlethat education isahuman rightand a societal responsibility; and
Endeavoring to practice and supportthewide application of open sourceprinciples and concepts.Weare daringdareto imaginea new socio-an alternative social,political,and economic alternative systemthat offersand ensuresgreaterpossibilitypossibilitiesof equality. and  justice.
