Welcome to the 2012 catalog for MIT Press Journals.Our journals program reflects our close partnerships with others in theacademic community, including libraries, universities, scholarly societies,faculty, and students. The collaborative efforts of this community combine tosustain high-quality and reasonably-priced journal publication by universitypresses. We maintain the lowest possible annual price increases; we alsoinvest strategically in the future development of our program. In this catalog,we are pleased to announce both a major new research platform and thelaunch of a new start-up journal.Our big news is MIT CogNet. As a publisher in today’s digital environment,we reach beyond content to the nurturing of a rich research experience forscholars. The new platform for CogNet offers such an environment, addingrobust new tools and features to an expanding collection of books, journals,and reference works. We are grateful to the many librarians and scholarswho have advised us during the multi-year process of bringing this valuableresource for the brain and cognitive sciences to the next level.
