Infosys Selection Guidelines

=============================

Selection process consists of a written test and Interview (if you clear the
written test).

1. WRITTEN Test: Two sections. First section of 1 hour duration consists of 9-11
(from nine to eleven) questions of puzzle type. People who have solved the old
analytical section of GRE (graduate Record Examination) will be able to
recognize the types. Those who did not prepare for GRE are adviced to solve the
OLD analytical GRE puzzle games before they sit for the test. Remember, GRE
patterns has changed from 1st October 2002. The new pattern does NOT include the
logic games. you need to get hold of the old Barrons (or similar) book in order
to solve the qstns. People who were successful said that they attempted ALL the
questions in this sections with ATMOST 1-2 incorrect attempts.

The next section is an essay writing section of 30 min duration, similar to the
'present your perspective on an issue' essay of the NEW GRE analytical writing
section. Practice this part from any GRE book in the new syllabus.

2. INTERVIEW: Again, mostly puzzles and logic testing problems. THEY GIVE STRESS
ON THE APPROACH ADOPTED TO SOLVE, NOT on the correctness of the answer. A few
technical questions may also be asked.

Lastly a disclaimer:
============================================================================

All this are from my experience and experience from my frnds and colleagues.
They need not match ur experiences with the interview. As a matter of fact, ur
experneces cld be entirely different. These are guidelines only and there is no
gurantee that things wld go as I have writen. Its TOTALLY ON ONE's OWN LUCK and
thats what anyone wld need in plenty to clear such interviews. Neither i am in
anyway associated with Infy HR nor with the interview procedure. So, i am not
responsible for the methodologies or stategies they use.
