REPRESENTATIVE JESSICA FARRAR's"OTHER SIDE OF 40 PARTY"

AT THE DOWN HOUSE WAS THE PLACE TO BE THURSDAYNIGHT

There's no one better to party with than Harris County's longest serving Hispanicmember of the Texas House of Representative than Jessica Farrar.

I was going to ask Jessica just how many of these "other side of 40" party's shewas going to have before they became the "other side of 50" but decided not togo there. You'll not be the "joke of the party" long if you start cracking jokesabout a woman's age... my momma didn't raise no fool.

Dedicated public servants like Rep. Farrar doesn't come often said one of Farrar'sguest at the reception held in her honor. "When you talk to Jessica about anissue or a concern she listens to you and then she works for you as a publicservant should to satisfy your needs" said the guest.

Citizens of the 148th District who've had a need to call on Representative Farrarknow just how capable and valuable she is to them. Jesscia is well known for herability to "get the job done" and for her sincerity in representing her constituents.

Farrar works extensively on issues related to the environment, women's health, children's healthcare, education, taxes, homeowners rights, domestic violence, sexual assault, reproductive rights, insurance coverage, discrimination, andcriminal and juvenile justice. This last session she was the Leader of the HouseDemocratic Caucus.

Jessica and her husband Marco live in Houston's Lindale Park neighborhood withtheir dogs Cricket and Possum. Marco is a practicing attorney and has been aReservist in the United States Air Force since 1986, when he started his career asan enlisted medic. He is now a Lieutenant Colonel Operations Officer and has ledmilitary campaigns across the globe.

The Down House Restaurant / Cafe located in Houston's Heights at 1801 Yale isknown for their outstanding coffee and vintage cocktails. They serve bothlunch & dinner and have sandwiches too. The Down House was the perfectsetting for Jessica's partygoers.
