sadly I see people are not taking this word in their experience. They come with a deplorable sense of guilt that tends to way them down when the Lord is speaking.  The Lord and I
 John ThielPsalm 16:11 Thou wilt show me the path of life: in thy presence [is] fulness of joy; at thy right hand [there are] pleasures for evermore.
It is my purpose to bring everything that I have ever preached in the past down to aliving companionship with God. The term I just expressed, everything I have ever preached, it is something I’ve appreciated from the book Ministry of Healing;
The mere hearing of sermons Sabbath after Sabbath, the reading of the Biblethrough and through, or the explanation of it verse by verse, will not benefit usor those who hear us, unless we bring the truths of the Bible into ouindividual experience. The understanding, the will, the affections, must beyielded to the control of the word of God. Then through the work of the HolySpirit the precepts of the word will become the principles of the life. {MH 514.1}
This statement we must understand. As we hear the sermons and read the Bible,many people still do not find the true benefit of all that. I’m hoping and praying thebenefit of this will be reached out for by us individually as we are in the presence of God today. God is speaking to Israel;
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith theLORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.29:12 Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I willhearken unto you.

29:13 And ye shall seek me, and find [me], when ye shall search for me with allyour heart.29:14 And I will be found of you, saith the LORD:
How did you receive those words? Was there a little niggling thought well, they arelovely words to whomsoever God is speaking? If I read it in context it says He isspeaking to Israel;
Jeremiah 29:10 For thus saith the LORD, That after seventy years beaccomplished at Babylon I will visit you, and perform my good word towardyou, in causing you to return to this place.
God was speaking these words to the children of Israel. There are some verypersonal words;
Jeremiah 33:3Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee greatand mighty things, which thou knowest not.
He is speaking to who? Somebody else, not me. If we would believe these wordswere being spoken personally to me, we would enter into a completely differentexperience but all too often people read these words as a general address.
Isaiah 55:6 Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him whilehe is near:55:7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts:and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
Very wonderful words but sadly I see people are not taking this word in their experience. They come with a deplorable sense of guilt that tends to way them downwhen the Lord is speaking. The Lord says come unto me all ye that are labour andare heavy laden and I will give you rest, behold I stand at the door and knock, if anyman will open, I will come into him and sup with him.
Is there one here who dares not claim this promise? Is there one who will say,“I am so sinful that this does not mean me”? Put away such thoughts. {HS141.5}
Mark the words of Paul to the Athenians, who were they? The people of Athens.They were heathen. He is speaking to them on Mars hill, the place of pagan worship,oh they were too bad.
Acts 17:22 Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars' hill, and said, [Ye] men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious.

17:23 For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with thisinscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship,him declare I unto you.17:27 That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, andfind him, though he be not far from every one of us:17:28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.There is danger of not making Christ's teachings a personal matter, of notreceiving them as though they were addressed to us personally. In his wordsof instruction, Jesus means me. I may appropriate to myself his merits, hisdeath, his cleansing blood, as fully as though there were not another sinner inthe world for whom Christ died. . {GW92 470.1}
What is our danger? Not reading the bible to me personally. As I’m reading the Bible,what does he say? I have thoughts toward you, thoughts of peace and not of evil.Have a look at your life as you read these words. They are speaking to youpersonally. I must apply them as God speaking to me personally. I will abundantlypardon no matter what you are like or what you have done, doesn’t matter, I amclose to you, I am looking for you. Are you taking my words personally as addressedalone to you? If you feel that you are weary of reading the word of God, focus on thisand you will come alive because when I’m reading the bible as we are right now,who is speaking to me?
The word of the living God is not merely written, but spoken. The Bible isGod's voice speaking to us, just as surely as though we could hear it with our ears. If we realized this, with what awe would we open God's word, and withwhat earnestness would we search its precepts! The reading andcontemplation of the Scriptures would be regarded as an audience with theInfinite One. {6T 393.2}
You will be listening with such attention and diligence that you couldn’t even go tosleep because God is speaking to me. Audience with the infinite one? If you stop tothink, the infinite one is speaking to you personally, speaking to me, trying tocommunicate His love, His power and His sustaining grace to a sinner like me? Howcan I go to sleep? The infinite one, I’m in the audience of the infinite one.
When Satan presses his suggestions upon our minds, we may, if we cherish a"Thus saith the Lord," be drawn into the secret pavilion of the Most High. {6T393.3}
Into the temple of God, into his presence as I cherish the thought that He is speakingto me personally in every item of God’s word. Doesn’t that reverberate through your system and wake you up? All that is written in the Bible and amplified through the
