1. PROPER NOUN
It denotes a particular person ,place or thing.
e.g. India , Christmas ,The Mecca , Dr. Sita.
2. COMMON NOUN
It is the name common to every thing or person of
the same kind, class or group.
e.g. tiger, teacher , computer.
3.ABSTRACT NOUN
It denotes a quality , action, state , or idea.
e.g. music , childhood ,freedom.
4.COLLECTIVE NOUN
It denotes the name of the same type of persons
or things taken together as one entity.
e.g. army, dozen ,class , committee , crowd,
bouquet.
5. MATERIAL NOUN
It denotes a name of a matter or substance of which
things are made.
e .g .wood , plastic , paper ,wheat.

The group of words put in the right order to
make sense is called a sentence.

What we speak about a person or thing is the
predicate.
1.The tiger is walking.
PREDICATE- is walking.
2.The man is playing.
PREDICATE-is playing.
