CIVIL WAR
EXPENSIVE
When the war started, both theConfederates and Union had manyamateur soldiers who were young andnot so experienced. However, theNorth or the Union had more generalswith experience because there wasmore population on the North. As for the inventories and resources,North again had more advantage dueto the blockade (Anaconda Plan) thatmade transportation andcommunication hard for the South. Also, even before the war had started, the North had much more advancedindustry and transportation than theSouth which only relied on slavery andagriculture. Basically, the South hadlimited resources while North couldreplace their men and weapons eachtime they fought.
