Kim Yu-na, the gold medalist ingure skating at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympic Games, andPark Ji-sung o England’s Manchester United ootball club are only two o many Korean athletes who are distinguishing themselves inthe world o sports.The Republic hosted the 1988 Olympic Games, 2002 FIFA WorldCup and the 2011 Daegu IAAF World Championships in Athleticsand is organizing the 2018 Winter Olympic Games.
