presented by
 What is Permaculture?
Permaculture is sustainable land use design. This is based on ecological and biological principles, oten using patternsthat occur in nature to maximise eect and minimise work. Permaculture aims to create stable, productive systemsthat provide or human needs, harmoniously integrating the land with its’ inhabitants. The ecological processeso plants, animals, their nutrient cycles, climatic actors and weather cycles are all part o the picture. Inhabitants’needs are provided or using proven technologies or ood, energy, shelter and inrastructure. Elements in a systemare viewed in relationship to other elements, where the outputs o one element become the inputs o another.Within a Permaculture system, work is minimised, “wastes” become resources, productivity and yields increase, andenvironments are restored. Permaculture principles can be applied to any environment, at any scale rom denseurban settlements to individual homes, rom arms to entire regions.
