Uncountable: you cant count them.

COUNTABLE NOUNS
1.You can use a / an in front of count nouns when they are singular: a table, a car, an apple, a potato 2. Nouns that have a plural form: (two) tables, cars, apples, potatoes

They can appear in the singular or in the plural.

UNCOUNTABLE NOUNS
1.You cant use a / an in front of count nouns when they are singular: milk, cake, toast, fish, meat 2. Nouns that dont have a plural form: Milk, cake, toast, fish, meat

They always appear in the singular.

QUANTITY
How much + uncountable noun E.g. How much ham is there in the fridge? How many + countable noun E.g.: How many tomatoes are there in the fridge?

Use A/AN with SINGULAR COUNT NOUNS Use SOME with PLURAL COUNT NOUNS and SINGULAR UNCOUNT NOUNS in POSITIVE sentences. Use ANY with PLURAL COUNT nouns and SINGULAR UNCOUNT nouns in NEGATIVE and INTERROGATIVE sentences.
