Adriac Sea
The Adriac sea got its name from
an ancient port of the same name.
The Adriac spans from the Balkan
to the Apennine peninsula.
The part belonging to the Republicof Croaa is the eastcoast which
extends all the way from Prevlakain the south to cape Savudrija
in the west,including all islands,islets and clis along the coast,andthe archipelago of Palagruza (thenumber of islands, islets and clis is
more than 1700).This is a unique area in Europe
for cruising with motor boats,
speedboats, or sailboats, but also
for enjoying the underwater world.
Geographical posion
Croaa extends from the furthesteastern edges of the Alps in the
north-west to the Pannonianlowlands and the banks of the
Danube in the east; its central region
is covered by the Dinara mountain
range, and its southern parts extendto the coast of the Adriac Sea.

Welcome to the new edion of Croaa in Focus.Prime Minister dr Ivo Sanader was on an ocial and working visit to the United States of America,during which he held many bilateral and other meengs and aended the UN General Assembly.We bring you the overview of the visit in this issue.We talked with the U.S. Ambassador to Croaa Robert A. Bradtke about the relaons between
the two countries and other current subjects.
Since Croaa’s priories are judicial reform, protecon of fundamental human rights and ghtagainst corrupon, new heads have been appointed at key posions in the Ministry of Interiorand the Ministry of Jusce in order to successfully implement all the necessary reforms.
