Dear Saints, I am writing to let you know that Mr.

William Buscetto, our former Athletic Director, has filed suit against Saint Bernard School, claiming that his termination from St. Bernard was improper. While we take such action seriously, we believe that this suit is entirely without merit and we intend to defend against it vigorously. St. Bernard School is a community of skilled teachers, coaches, counselors, administrators, Board of Trustee members, and support staff all dedicated to providing our students with an exceptional community of learning and personal growth and development. We are now in our fifty-fifth year of serving the educational needs of the Diocese of Norwich in this capacity. I want to assure you that this lawsuit will not interfere with our mission of Catholic education. My focus and that of our faculty and staff remains on the young men and women we serve and the values of scholarship, community, and spirit. Saint Bernard is a strong school and the demand to join our student body continues to grow. This suit will have no effect on the lives of our students or our continued growth. As always I am at your service and my door is open to all parents and students; however, because this is a legal matter, it would not be appropriate for me to comment further on the lawsuit. Sincerely, Thomas J Doherty III Headmaster
