4. Language style :
The author uses simple and precise sentences and words. The tone is also serious
throughout the whole story. The other tone would be sentimental which takes place
towards the end oI the story when Sylvia started to Iall in love with what she managed
to Iind, which is the location oI the white heron`s nest . She is taken aback with what
she sees. The beautiIul scenery oI the place just like a dream.

5. General Comments:
For me this story really portrays good moral values to readers. Money is not
everything. We still have to consider diIIerent aspects in liIe. Through Sylvia`s
character we know she is a wise person. She thinks deeply beIore making any
decision whether to tell or not to tell the hunter about the location oI the heron`s nest.
She thinks about all the consequences that might happen to birds iI she tell the hunter
about it.

The story is narrated Irom the Iirst person point oI view. The character main

nervousness in this story. The author makes the reader want to read more and

5. General Comments :
This story somehow teaches me how to we have to be cool and calm in every
situation we are Iacing. Fear and misery will only kill` us. We should be smart to

we will be just Iine. Never let our Iear stops us Irom anything. Move Iorward and

3. Characterization :
From the very beginning oI the story, the story is narrated Irom the third person point
oI view which is the persona is reIerring the situation to his neighbour which is the

be the Iisherman.

4. Language and style :
The story consists oI simple words and sentences. The author also uses symbol so that
readers can image what the situation really look like. For example, the sentence:

'And high up, above my head, full looming, a huge shining moon hung in a milky,

The story teaches me the diIIerent perspective oI a river itselI. Normally people relate
