Purpose of report:

To consider relevant representations that have been made in respect of an application to Permit the Supply of Alcohol (for consumption on the premises) to operate from 10:00am until 12:00midnight (Monday to Saturday) and 12:00midday until 11:30pm (Sunday). To permit Regulated Entertainment consisting of plays, live music, recorded music, performances of dance and anything of a similar description to operate from 10:00am until 12:00midnight (Monday to Saturday) and 10:00am until 11:30pm (Sunday). To permit the Provision of Entertainment Facilities for making music, dancing and anything of a similar description to operate from 10:00am until 12:00midnight (Monday to Saturday) and 10:00am until 11:30pm (Sunday). Premises to be open to the public from 09:00am until 12:00midnight (Monday to Saturday) and 09:00am until 11:30pm (Sunday).

4. Compliance Issues: 4.1 Consistency with relevant Council Policies, Plans or Strategies: The report complies with the City Councils Statement of Licensing Policy and the Councils Corporate Plan to improve the standard of all licensed persons, premises and vehicles in the City.

Kraft Foods UK Confectionery Production Limited applied on 20th September 2011 for the Grant of a Premises Licence for Cadbury World, Linden Road, Bournville, Birmingham, B30 2LU Representations have been received from interested parties, see Appendices 1 25 The application is attached at Appendix 26 The Premises have the benefit of a current Licence, see Appendix 27 A site plan is attached at Appendix 28 When carrying out its licensing functions, a licensing authority must have regard to Birmingham City Council's Statement of Licensing Policy and the Guidance issued by the Secretary of State under s182 of the Licensing Act 2003. The Licensing Authority's functions under the Licensing Act 2003 are to promote the licensing objectives, which are: The prevention of crime and disorder; a. b. Public safety; c. The prevention of public nuisance; and d. The protection of children from harm.
