Goodbye, A Promise

Not sure if I’ve been happiest at your side
But what is done, is done
I'll leave it as it is... again
Move on, don’t stop and never look back.

When you smiled at me, you made me
realize that inside me, there is beauty.
Oh, what a dreamer have I been
To expect for something special between us.

We never made no promises nor vows
And never talked about each other's past.
We just made this moment last
And now its etched in my soul forever.

Never thought it meant nothing to you
This was just a game you've always played
So once again, I’m an actress on our stage
And pretend I enjoyed that foolish game.

You made me realize there was never a broken heart
Just a broken trust but a much stronger soul.
Sad for one moment but never regretful
And I still thank you, memory lives on.

Seduction will subside, and soon, will die
Like this body, this temple, heaven's creation.
Earth will devour me, ashes will fly,
No more you and me in eternal damnation.

And now I'll make another promise
This I intend to forever keep
Under the moon's blessing, my goddess,
I'll say...
Goodbye my ghost, I'll meet eternal sleep.

I am ready to face this angel of death
to step on my heart, kill this feeling called love,
No fear for his knife to cut my breath
For I know my goddess watches me from above.

My soul will have memories of you.
But at the day of my rebirth,
Another mind, new heart, a living temple
