He (\ufdfa) does not speak out of (his own) desire. It is but revelation revealed to him (53:3/4)
Mu`\u00e2dh b. Jabal (RA) was sent him to Yemen by Rasul-ullah (\ufdfa). The Prophet (\ufdfa) asked him: \u201cHow
will you judge among the people?\u201d Mu`\u00e2dh (RA)said: \u201cBy Allah\u2019s book.\u201d The Prophet (\ufdfa) asked him:
\u201cWhat if do not find a ruling for it therein?\u201d He (RA) said: \u201cBy the Sunnah of Allah\u2019s Messenger(\ufdfa).\u201d
The Prophet (\ufdfa) said: \u201cWhat if do not find a ruling for it therein?\u201d He (RA)said: \u201cI will employ my

opinion to the best of my knowledge and will not hesitate.\u201d The Prophet (\ufdfa) slapped on his chest and said: \u201cAll praise is due to Allah that He guided the messenger of Allah\u2019s Messenger to what pleases Allah and His Messenger.\u201d [Sunan Ab\u00ee D\u00e2w\u00fbd]
