Installation Instructions: Subaru Billet Top Feed Fuel Rail
Installation:
NOTE: This kit is NOT intended as a direct replacement for the factory fuel rails. This kitincludes the high flow billet fuel rails and necessary hardware to mount them. It isup to the customer to find a solution for the routing, mounting, and connection of fuel lines, tees, filters, regulators, or any other hardware that may be necessary. It ishighly recommended that a professional tuning shop, engine builder, or mechanicperforms the installation.1) Remove the factory fuel rails following the Subaru factory service manual’s instructions.2) Determine a suitable fuel system configuration for your application. You can use thediagrams on the following page as guidance.3) Install the -6 AN fittings on both sides of the fuel rail using either adapters or plugs basedon the fuel system configuration you have chosen. Ensure the o-ring is in place on eachfitting.4) Insert fuel injectors into the Cosworth billet fuel rail.TIP: It is always a good practice to use new injector o-rings and seals.5) Mount the rail to the TGV housing using the two stand-offs and two M8 bolts per rail. Makesure the shoulder on the stand-off locates into the ears on the fuel rail. Torque the two M8bolts to 14.0 ft-lb (19 N-m, 1.9 kgf-m).6) It may be necessary to rotate the fuel injectors towards the middle of the rail to plug theminto the harness.NOTE: The factory fuel pipe protectors will NOT fit with the Cosworth fuel rails.7) Plumb the fuel system using suitable fuel lines and fittings.NOTE: The next page contains diagrams of common ways to route your fuel lines.
